Realy glad we only got the rain and tail end of the wind of the torndo that took the roof of a house in the next town, and that I did my shopping there yesterday.

 and I was moaning on another thread because the wind here a) broke the washing line and b) once it was fixed, blew one of my white sheets into the raspberry canes and got it stained with raspberry juice :rotfl:
  • I need adaptors for my LED bulbs... dammit!

I'm going to take a guess that, the bulbs are Edison Screw, while the lamp holder is Bayonet Cap?

Adapters available from Amazon UK, for 62p each, with free UK delivery.

I need one of those adapters as well. But the Amazon one ships from Hong Kong whereas Maplins sell them for a couple of quid. As I have no light in the room I bought a LES bulb for, I think I will spring for the Maplins one this time round and order a few off Amazon for future conversions
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

    Hi BB

I'll try not to show my age but we used to go on a bus past the Reckitt blue factory (all the buildings had a blue tinge, the bits the rain didn't reach were really blue) Oh memories :)

  • Poor man with Ebola in Texas passed away today and they are now reporting that a sheriff deputy that had contact with him is in the hospital with suspected Ebola. Scary times.

what a flipping day, and night.. this is the worst weather I have seen in a while... it is slowly calming down now..

re- Ebola.. I think the world leaders governments, are now showing signs of panicking. but trying to look calm..

yesterday while I was in a self serve petrol station.. I acquired quite a few of their 'free' gloves they provide... well it didn't say you only had to take one, and they were only for using there lol.. guy behind me did look at me strange..

Maybe with the ebola virus, some people are recovering from it, is all down to their own emune system maybe? SO I think as a prepper it is also imported to eat healthily, and look after yourself.. ok you should do this anyway, but if a SHTF moment happens you don't want to find yourself also run down, and full of flu, or the stress of the event making come down with something...

I also agree that it is the best soap for killing germs.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.
