GQ, I feel your frustration, hope you have some choccy handy and resolve things without much more stress. As for smashing offending mobile with a hammer or such like yes it could be seen as childish to some, however nowt wrong with finding our inner child especially with such provocation.

RL has been a bit hectic and I've only just caught up. Had the KK over a week and not had chance to try it, very frustrating. My back locked up whilst washing up earlier so trying to relax so it eases up. I make a horrendous patient, unable to rest for long and well moody that I can't do stuff.

We are going on a charcoal making day organised by a friend next month and really looking forward to it. OH would like to do a green woodworking course, but I think 2 days might be too much so I'm looking for reasonable priced 1 day courses, preferably making practical things like furniture as aposed to spoons and carving etc. We also want to do a bushcraft day too.
Has anyone done these kind of courses and if so would you recommend any. Because of OH's difficulties it has to be a small group and with little walking if poss. Where the course is doesn't matter too much as we would do a b&b and call it a holiday. Got a compo cheque this week following a complaint that was reassessed by the company after I thought the matter was closed. Therefore we want to use it for something enjoyable, but also practical hence the course idea. As for a holiday, in the 13 yrs we've been together we have only spent 1 night away other than visiting FIL or MIL so I think we deserve a little treat.
  • I hope we are GREENBEE but it really depends on DD2 and the Zebra child who are coming home to visit that weekend. If they are staying until Monday I'm sure we'll go to the Green Fair but if they're going back on Sunday it will depend on what time she wants to leave as to whether or not we can make it. I'll pm you for certain if we are and hope to see you there, Lyn xxx.

    :) It's all good.

I went and washed my hair because I was feeling pitiful and bedraggled. Now I'm clean and just pitiful. And wanting hot chocolate.

Then I can go onto "3" and have their cheapy PAYG package 321. Which is half the price of ASDA now anyway.

I'm on Virgin Big Talk, which gives me masses of calls, for just £10pm.

I'm perishing and have just put the heating on.

It's still very mild here, albeit a bit wet.

It's currently 63.7 degrees in my LR, with no heating on all day.

:) I'm allowed because I'm ill. Besides, I pay for my heating as a monthly rent charge, winter and summer, whether I use it or not.

Your mobile deal wouldn't be the best for me as I use a mobile so little I use about £20 credit per annum.

Righty, have come to a gripping bit of drama in a trilogy of novels and the Kraken Queen is about to arise from the deeps (oo-err, missus) so will toddle off the interwebs for the night.

    Play nicely, children. ;)

I'm off for a nice hot bath with my book GQ. I'm currently reading Nevil Shute - I've just finished 'What Happened to the Corbetts' which is about Mrs LW's part of the world, and am about to start 'Ruined City'. That'll cheer me up ;) £1 each in the local second-hand bookshop.

I got a Trudie Canavan "The Magician's guild" for 50 pence , also two straw hats for DH to wear in the garden to protect skin graft, a denim dress that I hope will have enough material to make a wonderbag and a very pretty toiletry bag - all for six quid :j:j

DH is delighted with the chickens as they are now starting to lay eggs and very proud that they are now sitting and nesting properly.

They seem to be outsmarting him as they keep finding ways out of the fenced off area etc. :rotfl:

Going to a family christening tomorrow and travelling will take up most of the day. Youngest has gone back to uni and is delighted with the home made loaf and cartons of home made frozen food I packed up for her.

Hugs to all and hope all poorly ones get better soon.
