GQ - that's the package I've got. Cheapest I've ever had.
:) It's good, isn't it? Tip I got of the main part of this site. Would have done it before but the existing piece of carp isn't a 3G phone, and this 321 thing requires it be so, but they do the N0kia for £29.99 at the shop.

I could be up there in 10 mins but am in a temper right now so not the best frame of mind for shopping. I shall sleep on it, buy the new one tomorrow, port the number and then recycle the phone for charity.

I really would like to attack it with a blunt instrument, but that's just a temper tantrum talking. I am, technically, an adult of nearly 50 years and shouldn't succumb to such childishness.

;) I had contemplated just jacking-in the mobile altogether. I only got the first one is about 2007 (this is the second) because friends were crazing me to be available. I have a perfectly good landline which serves 90% of my telephony needs. Still, I think I'd miss the bits of nonsense we text to and fro between ourselves and it's handy as people can respond when they're ready. Right now, yoghurt pots and string is looking increasingly attractive.:rotfl:

Ne'mind, I have the PAC and that's good for 30 days. I shall get ASDA to refund my existing credit. And not have to see a spiderweb cracked screen whenever I use it............

  • My mobile cost £13.99 online and I have the cheapest tariff which gives me unlimited texts and 300 minutes a month in free calls. I don't need it to do any more than make and recieve calls and texts and it's my insurance when I'm out with the lurcha or at the shops just in case we have a problem of any kind. I make sure and have it on the bedside at night too in case any of the family needs to contact us, I think some of the modern mobiles are just too snazzy and expensive but then I'm an oldie any way and not that much into technology.

But a new phone could have Zebra photos on it
  • Oh yes it could, but I know how to turn this one on and it doesn't usually do anything untoward that sends me running to He Who Knows wailing Oh eck why's it doing this????? and I've got Zebra as my screensaver on the pooter, so I've always got him in the lounge with me xxx.

GQ is right - they have all got lovely little stripy bobble hats that match too :-)

I also went on a snail hunt - and lobbed 17 of the beggars onto the roof of the pub next door where the birds get them.

Now .............. don't want to worry anyone but its nearly dinner time and I fancy salad. Think I might be catching what GQ has got.

How can you eat salad when you've just dressed it up in bobble hats? That's cannibalism. You'll have to have chocolate instead!

:)MG, this is a special Call Centre Bug, has been circulating in my workplace for some weeks. Today's status is sneezes, a 'bit of a throat', stingy eyes and sniffles, plus aching muscles. I zonked out for 10 hours overnight, too. I'll aim for 12 tonight.

Bygorry, but I don't have time for this. I have a 300 sq m allotment, a pair of curtians halfway through remodelling, some candlewax to play with, h*us*w*rk, and a thousand books to read. At this rate, I shall be fit for w*rk on Monday.

I am applying medicinal therapy; pots of tea plus some YS sultana and lemon pancakes. I may eat an orange later.

:D Am cherishing the image of a row of cabbages in matching striped bobble hats and scarves grinning in the snow.
