Yeah, when I read about the 'bad case of builders' I was racking my brains to think what that meant in Cockney Rhyming slang. :)

Mo Harris on Eastenders talking about her 'Farmers' tickles me. I'm sure you all know what that is.

For anyone who is interested - Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage are debating the EU live on LBC at 7pm tonight. Sky News is also covering it. BBC News too I think.

:D Will the rest of us be able to vote on whether the loser lives or dies, a la the amphitheatre, back in the day?

Ha ha. We should be able to give the equivalent of a thumbs up or down - by pressing a certain button on the remote maybe. Politics would be altogether more interesting..:D

For anyone putting a bob together I spotted these today. I've had a couple in the past from them and they're not bad quality.

AOT, I had the same bad case of the builders. The LL sent a crew in 2 years ago and they took every window and door out in 2 hours thus opening the house completely to the elements - 6 degree's! Oh had been packed off to Ds's but came back early to find me wrapped in my coat, blanket with a hot water bottle sobbing with it all. Why oh why couldnt they have done one floor at a time??? It took 3 days to re-heat the house and made us shivery for ages. I hope you have a warm corner to shelter in. I couldnt even hide in my office as the locals would have just walked in and taken what wasnt tied down.

The theiving little blighters round here have started on the garden sheds so ours is now emptied of anything of value and a heavy board wedged in front of the door so it will accidentaly fall on anyone who opens the door ....note to self REMEMBER THE BOARD ....

Beware the Caring Society getting wind of that and your good self ending up in court for recklessly endangering anyone breaking into your shed.

It would perhaps be best to cover your back by putting a large warning notice on the door, translated of course into a wide variety of languages.

Maybe with the same message in pictograms too, in the manner of Ikea instruction sheets.

:D OK, who broke the forums last night?

There was I with MSE open but watching someting on YooTooob on another tab and when I flicked back to see what y'all were up to, the forums were down.

Shortly after that my entire interweb fell over to the point where Firef0x couldn't even find my browser. Heck, I had to go off and do some housework, it was that bad.:rotfl:

Anyone else have their connection fail yestereve? I'm with PlusNet, as I think Mardatha is also? If I can't get onto ZH I tend to think Here is comes (the financial crisis) and feel the urge to get out the tin hat.

ETA; ginnyknit, my LL did the same with my wee flat. In December. Every window out and blowing a hooley. I was huddled in a corner of my sitting room to keep out of their way. Once you take my windows out, there isn't a lot left of the walls, the place being so small. At least in my case I was re-windowed (all four) in a couple of hours.
