Was it a new purchase (as in, do they still sell them?)

They had them in this morning, when I bought mine.

Mind you, I wouldn't wait too long, as it's in the Special Buys section, so once it's sold out, there probably won't be any more in for a while/at all.

:D I have just spoken to a parental unit and one will be purchased tomorrow. I've had a notion for one of those for a while as I have a degenerate fondness for a fried egg sarnie.

Oh happy life that has dinky little cookware in it.

  • Any particular reason for purple?

:) Dunno about seigemode, but I have given flexible colour instructions to my Mum; 'a pretty one' was what she was told to get. I also caused The Q (who was on her lap and got moved so she could answer the phone) to have a moodie and claw Mum's leg.

Bob, you are responsible for this!:rotfl:

ETA I have refined the dinfinition of 'pretty' to red, purple, pale blue, black in that order of preference. Via email as didn't dare be responsible for more interruptions to the Queen of Sheba's lap-snoozing time. Bliddy animal is nothing if not regal.

I've wanted one for ages, as I hate bits of egg hanging out of my Egg Banjos.

BTW. Has anyone ever tried the Red Dwarf "state-of-the-art (It's the state of the floor I'm worried about) sarnie" ? :D

:D I know I'll probably regret asking, but what the heck is an 'egg banjo' when it's at home?

  • It's a runny fried egg in a muffin/bap/barm.

:p Thanks. I can now go offline for the night without any danger of dying of curiousity.

For anyone who can't easily get to ALDI, or finds they have sold out, one egg frying pans are available on Amazon UK.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/INCH-MINI-STICK-FRYING-HANDLE/dp/B00B8S8TWO/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1394132923&sr=8-6&keywords=One+Egg+frying+Pan

True, they are more expensive (indeed almost double the price), but if getting to and from ALDI involves a couple of bus rides, then not really much more expensive.

BTW. The photos don't really show the size properly.

These pans really are TINY. :)
