I'm a lurker rather than a poster on this thread but I just wanted to thank kittie for the warnings and shared information. Sometimes I haven't cared for the tone at wa but I do see where it comes from. In my experience, a lot of weather websites and message boards do take time to get used to, to put it mildly.
I'm always grateful for any kind of heads up because I remember a certain day in the winter of 2010; by the time I'd gone to bed the bbc forecast hadn't indicated any kind of unusal weather. In reality the weather closed in very quickly and everything ground to a standstill in a large urban area and anyone who didn't live within easy walking distance of home was stranded - in work, in cars, in public buildings, wherever. As I live 90 mins by train from work, I do leave emergency overnight preps at work now. If I think the weather might be bad, I take a few extra provisions and money just in case. Please keep sharing what you can - even if not entirely correct, all that can happen is that things are better than expected?0 -

.
DS was ready to send the search party out for us and was waiting up when we got in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I love it when the tables are turned ;D
Looks like Piers Corbyn is right about the weather again. TPTB won't listen because he has thrown their global warming scam out on its ear.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Just got the news on the Rent and Council Tax, and we've not done too badly.
Rent is rising by 2.5%, and Council Tax is being frozen.
The increase in my rent, will be almost exactly offset, by the recent reduction in my gas payments.
Just need to wait and see, what happens to my water bill.0 -
Our County Council have decide they should get a 23.4% allowance rise. I hope you all got yours as well

for goodness sake armyknife just drop it. Pot and kettle etc I have better things to do than to think of witty answers to destructive criticisms. Anyway I am not answering any more of your posts and yes I am sure you will want to have the last word. Next!!!
:scratcheschin:
Where do you get destructive criticism from? I've merely questioned his ill-mannered approach to other climate/weather forcasting professionals; I haven't said anything critical of you.0
