You can get a fair turn of speed in a Transit, I find, out on the motorways.

Not to mention, on the racetrack. :)

Hollyberry your are in a pickle arent you? Hope he recovers enough to get to the docs soon.

Thanks, ginny. One aspect of SHTF that I hadn't really considered was the impact of getting injured/unwell on the top floor of a three storey house...four if you count the cellar. He made it down to the ground floor, but fell on the first floor landing today, where we have a couple of extra bonus steps. Fortunately I was able to suggest he did a bum shuffle to the top of the next flight, where I could help him up. He's looking better tonight (*way* less pallid).

Afternoon folks, just a wanted to let our dog walking preppers know about 'Alabama Rot' like disease - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25820926 . Tptb don't know how it has come into the country but dog walkers in the New Forest, County Durham, Surrey, Cornwall and Worcestershire should watch their pets for lesions on the face, legs or paws. The animals that fared the best were the ones taken to the vets asap.

  • WYRE they featured something similar on a countryfile programme last summer and that was from a forest in the Suffolk/Norfolk area where dogs were presenting at vets with the same symptoms, most of them unfortunately died from it and they couldn't find the source of infection there either. It was on our local news this morning so we'll all be vigilant, thanks for the heads up, Lyn xxx.

    Evening all.

Well, my prepping is taking a different turn now. Hubby and I are splitting up (amicably, I might add) so we both need to find new homes, and afford to run them ourselves. So, I'm going to have to cut my expenses down as far as I can, and see what I can get saved up. We're fortunate in that, bar for a couple of chairs, neither of us should need to buy furniture. I'll need a washer etc, but there are usually plenty on my town's For sale or swap on f'book.

So, my thinking cap is wedged on trying to think of everything I'll need to do/sort/sell/buy, besides of course the house.
Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.
    Baby due July 2018.
