  • I was in ALDI earlier today, so I decided to top up my stocks a bit.

I now have 54 rolls of TP.

As I was unloading the supplies, I heard a fearsome growl, and saw a ginger and white cat come barrelling out of my front door.

It had taken the open front door as an invitation to come in, only to come face to face with Buggalugs.

Yesterday, I discovered I had run out of fresh milk in the fridge, so I opened a can of dried milk.

Today, I opened one of the kitchen cupboards, only to discover the carton of 6x1 Litre cartons of UHT milk I bought a few weeks ago.

  • We have a shtf moment here tonight, the tube on the fluorescent light has blown, so I had to cook the dinner by the push lights under the kitchen cupboards and a lamp. I discovered that I need to have more than two per cupboard maybe four or even six would be better and I had a hell of a problem finding stuff in the cupboards.
So apart from a new bulb and starters I am going to buy some more push lights tomorrow to put inside the cupboards and a few more to put underneath the wall cupboards.

Talking about paraffin lamps, hasn't paraffin gone up tremendously in price, I could get it for £6.99 for 5L last year it is £9.99 now

  • I recently replaced the folded florescent tube in my bathroom dome light.

You would not believe how hard it is to aim straight, when one of those things is flickering.

B&Q are selling it for £6-98 for 4 Litres.

    That's equivalent to £8-73 for 5 Litres.

If you hunt around, you should get it cheaper in independent hardware stores, often along with the Hurricane Lanterns.
  • I thought that men had to hold it or are you just showing off ;):p :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I generally rest it over the rim, while leaning back against the bathroom door.

Mind you, the water in the bowl feels cold sometimes.
