Cooker is now on the blink and I just want to go back to bed and sleep til 2013 is over
On a brighter note *thank god everyone says!* the garden is doing great

Need to make some more fruit leathers when the boys stop pigging all the fruit.
E-cigs are still working so thats a bonus more money for all these bills

Good to hear from you D&DD, hoping you have so peace soon. Bl**dy power companies are trying their damndest to get everyone money, they wanted to put ours up to £120 but Hubby stuck to his guns and made a £30 interim payment and they were happy with that and gave up. Then they tried to put Mums up and gave up. They just want our money in their banks, so
Have a poorly DGS snoozing on the couch, he is definately off colour but nothing specific and childminder isnt allowed to have him though she would if she could as she adores him. Dd is only working 4 hours and he is best off here anyway. We have been playing 3 bears, so far he has tested all the beds for bounce ability and which is best for bobo's but ended up lay on me on the couch and fell asleep in minutes.
Off to pick fruit and tend my pumpkins. Yes discovered they may not be cucumbers so they need lots of tlc. Really must try harder with the labels on seed pots :rotfl: Lots of de-hydrated courgettes in stock now and also dried some wet garlic. I actually put the trays out in the sun for a few hours yesterday to save on 'leccy and it worked they only needed an hour or so in the de-hydrator - well sunshine was used way before gadgetsClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
There is no way I'd pay by DD for electric - they just make up a figure, double it, then tell you to pay it!! Pay quarterly when the bill comes in. Save the money in the bank or an teapot lol. The old ways are often simplest and best.0

Have a great break, BBB! I will wave to the Island when we're walking up at Badbury Rings or down at Hengistbury; we can see it quite clearly in good weather.
Busy busy busy just now, realising I have far too much stock for the Festival next week, after months of panicking that I won't have enough, and my camping fridge has died completely. Well, it was about 20 years old & has done great service. But there's no question of replacing it just now - wouldn't have the time to go & get one, even if I did have the money - so it's flowerpot fridge time!Angie - GC Aug25: £106.61/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -

BBB it's a good job you're not taking Bessie to the Jurassic Coast for her holiday, just think of all the bones she might come back with after her walkies each day!!! Have yourselves a lovely time away and let us know how good it was when you get home again, Cheers Lyn xxx.0

Interesting how little it takes for TSTHTF. A driver ran into the back of us two weeks ago and have had no car since (just got courtesy one tonight) and stocks have run down since I have had to carry everything home on foot.
I went to local Mr S tonight hoping to get some good bargains and looked aghast at all the empty shelves on the chiller cabinets. For a moment I thought something momentous had happened that I did not know about  It turned out that the freezer and chiller cabinets were affected by the heat but the result was that supplies were low. So pleased that I froze a lot of YS items and am not reliant on one store at the moment.
Tonight's meal was YS sea bream with salad and strawberries and yoghurt to follow. Lunch was a Spanish omelette made with bantam eggs , a couple of rashers of bacon, tomato, diced cooked potato and grated cheese.
If DH will drive me to liddlees or aldees tomorrow then I can stock up on fruit, veg, cheese, butter, yoghurt etc at two thirds the price elsewhere if not less. Ironic that the food dds rave about like pizza whirls and mini quiches or sweet potato burgers are so cheap to make.
