THe hairdresser said it isn't that unusual to have your hair change after pregnancy. When I think of all the money I spent on perms in the 80's :rotfl:
A friend and I try to outdo each other - a bit like anglers.

hello lovely shtf'ers
I am having an emotional meltdown at the moment but have forced myself to sort out car insurance renewal and breakdown cover. "saved" over £150 on the car insurance and paid for the breakdown cover with clubcard points. god bless martin lewis is all I can say.
now to attempt battle with the tax return. ugh.
hope you are all ok - I am struggling with preps at the moment - just not comfortable in the new place and really unsettled also missing my darling dog terribly and feeling very alone without her this weekend.
So sorry Vanoonoo
It's hard without them, I know, sending virtual hugs to you, and Bessie for some reason must be feeling the vibes as she is climbing on my knee and hitting the key board, either that, or she is telling me it's dinner time....
These things are just bumps in life's road (or should that be potholes?).
Bessie sends whines and licks to you all...

Hairyness.
My legs aren't hairy and never have been, but my bush seems to be spreading sideways and I'm getting less & less flexible, I can reach it to attend to it, but cannot see what I'm doing! I shave my pits at Christmas, but I don't think there is anything there, my eyesight has deteriorated to such an extent that I can see as far as my armpits. I could if left untended grow a nice little goatee, but not a tash, my top lip is mostly hair free. Last year I asked for an electric shaver for Christmas. I use it on my chin daily, the only good thing is that I still have a full head of thick bottle blonde hair, oh the joys of ageing!

Hester, you made me giggle:D
I've mostly given up on hair removal, though think I may have to succumb to the razor on my legs as I do like a skirt in summer. If it were just me the dog and the allotment that suffered I wouldn't bother, but as I have to face 'the public' I 'pose I should make an effort.
I can definitely relate to the chin hair and don't you just notice one has appeared whilst at work and unable to attend to it. I find myself fiddling with the darn things which doesn't help if you're trying not to draw attention... and I can never seem to find the tweezers when I need them! In fact think I can feel one brewing now, off to find tweezers in anticipation....Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

Did anyone see the Tudor banquet on TV last night? The amount of time and labour spent in preparing and cooking the food was eye watering. Even down to having no water on tap and having to collect it from the river (and I now know where 'humble pie' comes from). The programme was a reminder that the good life was not necessarily an easy life - unless you had an army of servants at your beck and call. And if you were a servant it could be very hard indeed.
Back to gardening, it looks like we have some good weather ahead. Unfortunately I seem to have got embroiled in the battle of the hanging baskets. I've noticed that one particular neighbour keeps scrutinising my frontage  and I can't plant anything without a sudden proliferation of new plants on her side. It's got beyond a joke but I have one card left - which is to replace a failed clemmatis which was supposed to grace the front wall. Once that's done Pineapple's frontage will look simply splendiferous and I will look forward to her attempts to raise the game :rotfl:0
