My youngest is 18, but I remember the intense pangs of broodiness that hit me in my early 20s! I recall sneaking into Mothercare, picking up one of their catalogues and hiding it at home. It was a couple of years before we were financially ready to start a family, but by then I had a little stash of catalogues that I studied in secret - almost like a teenager's !!!!!! collection!
When DS was 3 the broodiness started again, and I got pregnant with twins. Decided that our family was complete and OH had the snip. Strangely, every three years or so, we aquire a new puppy or kitten!

    Hi
I get broody too. I have 2 kids and my DH has had the snip. I would have another if it wasn't for my pregnancies - it is my heart that wants more not my head.

I have a friend who is a nurse on SCUBU and says that theat gets rid of her broodiness. When she feels broody she gives one of them a cuddle and it releases it.

Maybe the babysitting thing isn't such a bad idea, not in the aversion therapy side, but in the let out your maternal feelings side.

If you are doing your finals let your head rule your heart for a year or so!
