Money Back Apps!

OK, I tried to search for this but couldn't see anything but then I could have been looking in the wrong place.
So if this a repeat, call me scum and throw the link in my face and I'll humbly scuttle out of here!
Whilst, idly killing time between avoiding the housework and looking for jobs I was popped up with an ad on my phone for a reward scheme/cash back app that gives you money simply for checking in at certain stores. Be dammed if I can't find the name of it now but I was thinking! How good are these apps, are there others, do they work? And I assume there are safe guards that stop the over-eager from just wandering around there local shopping district each day and pinging in to get the loot?
Would love to get your feedback on this?

Sounds like Quidco. I stopped using them a couple of years ago when they went to pot.0

Went to pot, how? If you don't mind me asking.....0

Yeah it's probably Quidco. Hell, you don't even have to be near the store to get check in cashback, you can get a location spoofing app to do it for you :rotfl:0

They started charging £5 admin fees, some declined transactions seemed questionable at times and they've reportedly got quite rude...
