The decline of Quidco

i don't know if you have the same views but I had to complain about the torrid service Quidco now offers. I joined a few years ago and have spent ALOT of money through the site. Back then the site was a pleasure to use and the customer service was superb. Any query was resolved quickly and efficiently.
I've had cancer for over 2 years so sitting round all day in hospital bored with a dongle is never a good thing for your wallet! ;-) Obviously I've bought alot of items and paid for utlities, insurance etc and been pleased with the results. I've also set my family onto the site and mentioned to my many customers (I'm a self employed computer guy).
I've had a few glitches in the past (i'm still waiting for cashback from Sainsburys from Jan) and yesterday I bought more insurance but it seemed not to email me about tracking the site. I went online to try and contact Quidco but found it virtually impossible. If you try and bring up a cashback complaint you have to choose the retailer from a list. Though I saw the firm on the list last night, it didn't show this morning! After searching the site/web I finally found an email address for in-store purchases. I emailed them asking how to contact Quidco.
They were VERY abrupt and quite rude to the honest. I'd been very polite and explained the problem and just wanted to know a solution but they literally told me to 'go away'. I tried again, same response. After a few emails I told them that the company had declined in both ease of use for the website and customer service which was just shocking. Just because a firm expands rapidly you would expect it to maintain a reasonable quality of service but not with Quidco.
I was finally told that because the retailer wasn't on the list then it didn't track though I had seen it last night! I had a look in my history and there was the web address of the firm with the link code attached, an obvious fault of the Quidco site.
They finally sent me an email address which I forwarded the link to and explained how shocking their response had been.
I'm very much thinking of leaving, can anyone recommend another good cashback site.
Sorry for the rant but glad its off my chest!
all the best,
Al.

My alternative is TopCashBack.
But have had no problems with Quidco personally.0 -
I have also been having lots of trouble with Quidco lately, with declined payments, non payments etc. and I found them rude, arrogant and unhelpful so I changed over to topcashback and so glad!0
-
Topcashback for me, never use quidco unless no other option, had a few cashback errors with them.0
-
I used quidco for several years ... I now use Topcashback as they just seem more user friendly and the tracking is far better.0
-
I use Quidco and TopCashback interchangeably and so far they seem OK.
I recently had a Virgin BB declined, so I've raised a claim; I took a screendump of the page stating the conditions (which I met).0 -
I used to use Quidco but now I use TopCashback - and they don't charge you £5 for using them either, so that's a fiver saving straight away
"Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience." Anon.0 -
Like you i spend a lot with quicdo - moving house, buying all new furniture etc etc etc...but they went so far down the pan i've moved to topcashback.
they seem to take longer to pay out but the service is better
i did say to quidco a few times, that the service was making me look elsewhere but it got worse so i went
vote with your feet/wallet is the only real wayDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -
The reason for the £5 annual fee was that they paid ALL cashback that they received from the retailer to you, rather than top slicing for their margin, which I assume TCB do. Is this still the case?illegitimi non carborundum0

TCB offer more cashback the more you spend and 5% more if you get paid in Amazon voucher.
I love it!Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Been with quidco for years and only recently signed up with TCB and i find both are quite good, so far ive had all cashback payments received.0
