Never had any major problems with either. Prefer TCB as i like the option for amazon vouchers being a kindle owner it makes more sense.

Ive never had a missed payment from Quidco been with them for years over £400 paid to me and £5 a year to quidco seems a win win for me.

I'm so sorry to hear how you have been treated by Quidco, Phalex. Sadly, it's not a one-off with them, their service has been declining over the last few years. I think the company was bought by its staff around that time.

As you have found, they can often be incredibly rude, and unhelpful and their attitude is awful.

They don't follow-up with items chased, and when you query it, they have the cheek to say that it's too late to do anything about it!!

Loads of things don't track, even though I have a full process I follow to ensure all my history, caches, tempory files (and Uncle Old Tom Cobbley's too!) are clear.

They also make excuses not to pay you even when you can prove your point, and they get quite stroppy if you dare contradict them. They then just quote the terms and conditions which basically say they can do what they want and you can't do a thing about it.

Trying to find actual contact details is a nightmare. You get taken round and round in ruddy circles. I think they're hoping you'll just give up!

I'm also very sorry to hear about you not being well, Phalex, and I hope that everything possible is being done for you. Kind regards, Sue.

Have been thinking about switching to TCB lately. When I had to use the raise claims on Quidco a few years ago, they were pretty decent, but things just seem a bit slow lately and the tracking seems to be worse.

How are TCB for tracking and for processing missing cashback claims?

I've also been having problems with Quidco recently. Lots of purchases dont track automatically, and when I submit a claim it takes months for anything to happen.
This week I've just had 2 Tesco/Quidco cashback claims declined (7 months after submitting the claim!). Before purchase I cleared cookies; I took screen prints during the order process and have confirmation emails from Tesco Direct; and I still have the purchased items.
However Quidco say that Tesco tell them that for one of the items there is no trace of the order.
For the second item (an Ipad which I ordered via quidco because it offered a £24 rebate) the money has gone to another referrer.
I'd love to know how/why I didn't get my rebate, and who has got it instead, but they just send a standard email telling you why you might not have received it, none of which seems relevant to my purchase as I did all the things they suggested before purchase.

Makes you wonder if they just pocket the money and tell you it never got paid.
    Will look into Topcashback now...

I stopped using quidco at the end of last year (roughly) when the site all changed and you had to jump through hoops to contact them and much more cashback was declined. I use TCB now and have just finally had the last £47 paid from my Quidco account (from about a year ago!) and so won't be bothering with them again. Shame as they used to be so good :( I think over the years I have had something like £700 back through them.

Apparently its just been re-released and retailers have gone from 7 to 70!

Pottered around in London today and within a square mile manged to get over £2 - and a slight sun tan

Still a couple more to go too (like Body Shop) - will be interesting how often these smaller ones repeat...

  • So with the mobile app how does it work??? Do you get paid to simply 'check in' to the retailer & if so , how???

Not bad if it requires just a quick 'pop in' but I HATE queuing and would NOT queue for 10p for sure! ;)

Quidco declined my WHOLE 80 QUID from my mobile contract last year & haven't felt the same about them ever since! :(

I would also like to know more about check in. Can you visit the retailers on the list once every day or is it once a month?

Can you go to the retialers in one town and then go to retailers in another town on the same day?

I am just getting a bad feeling about this - if it looks too good to be true it usally is too goood to be true. You cant honestly wander around the shops everyday and earn £2 in cash back, £28 over the fortnight.

Has anyone had their new cash back ammounts actually paid into their bank account yet?

As you can see most transactions go to declined, despite me clearing cookies and deleting history etc its a total con imho

Very few transactions get confirmed, i have zero idea why and as people say there is no way of contacting them....very dissappointed as ive recommended them to people a lot :(

Be grateful of further advice on how to proceed as its fast becoming ridiculous? I'm going to stop using them but i want the money owed to me as ive done everything by the book :(
