The decline of Quidco

  • I had a whole load of problems with Quidco "declining" payment, even though I always did everything they recommend. Eventually they started admitting that I had made the purchases but claimed that retailers had paid my commission to someone else and that this was not their (Quidco's) problem and they refused to investigate (or even prove these bizarre claims were true). So I sued them in the Small Claims Court (Case Ref 2YL55760 - feel free to check the details for yourself) - Quidco paid up pretty fast rather than explain themselves in Court. So if any reader believes he has a good case I suggest doing the same - the more people do this the more Quidco will behave!

Thanks for that. I've currently got a huge problem with them over Sky's claim being declined over being "paid to another referrer". Sky have approved one claim, but declined the other, bigger one which makes absolutely no sense. Well it does in the sense that they'd rather pay the smaller one and not the bigger one, but you know what i mean :)

I'm going to talk to the ASA about possibly making a formal complaint for starters, but a small claims action would certainly be something i'd consider.

Ive just put in a claim for £200 for a holiday. It is really annoying whem you have a problem with it. I'm thinking of changing to TCB too.

  • In Quidco's defence I have never had any problem with them and have had over £250 in last 3 years.
(Well I have had 1 problem when cashback was a bit lower than expected - but as I see it it is money for nothing for normal spends)
