Ulster Bank 0% Balance Transfers

I rang the Belfast branch as nothing came from emailing. Spoke to a real person and the form came within a couple of days. We then had a letter saying the application had been received and was being considered on the same day that the card came. I organized it for my husband and he rang to arrange the BT which they were happy to do for the whole (albeit small) credit limit. He rang yesterday and the transfer will be done within the next 10 days I believe.
Just a word of warning. When I first got my Ulster Bank card and rang to do a BT I asked for the full amount up to my limit. "No problem" said the advisor and I was led to believe the transfer had gone through. However after 10 days when no payment had been credited to my other card I rang Ulster Bank up to query it only to be told the person who took details of my BT should have told me the maximum I could transfer is 95% of my limit and because of this the transfer did not go through.
Supposedly once they realised they had tried to contact me (a likely story!). If it hadn't been for me checking my other card balance I would still be none the wiser!0 -
Hi guys, recieved my app form today.
I'd say it took about a week for it to arrive, i emailed them for the app form to begin with.
Hopefully i'll get accepted now as my Post Office 0% offer is coming to an end shortly.
I am right in still thinking that i'll be ok to transfer from my PO card and not recieve a balance transfer fee?
I'd just like to be 100% before sending it back.
Thanks.0 -
I've given up on this one. I got sent the application form within a week or so, filled it in, sent it back, but they say they have not received it and are unable to process it. And it would seem that Natwest and Ulster bank use the same call centre - the person I spoke to was answering calls for both and it took her a while to realise I was calling about an Ulster card, not Natwest one. Very confusing!0
