Assuming that your son hasn't been looking for loans and entering his card details on random websites then it is up to his bank to sort this.
He needs to speak to the fraud department of his bank, not the call center monkeys. He should tell them that the payment has been fraudulently debited and that he knows nothingabout it.0 -
thanks gb have tried that but seem to be getting nowhere fast he give them permission to talk to me (he is autistic) then they fob me off when we know that another company has already admitted that the details are wrong and his name and card number dont match up to the address given but they wont tell me whos address it is due to data protection!!!! my argument with that is who was protecting my sons data0

Are you sure that you are really dealing with the fraud department? The minute that you tell them that it was a fraudulent unauthorised transaction they should act on it and clawback the money and then block future debits from that firm.
The best thing to do is call again, ask for the fraud department and make sure you get the name of the person in the fraud department who you speak to. If they still don't help then the best thing to do is to write or email the CEO of the bank, explaining what has happened and that his fraud department have refused to help. Also threaten to refer the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service if it isn't sorted out.
Which bank is it? I may be able to provide you with contact detail for the CEO.0 -
No i am sure of it! i think i once applied for a loan with amigo loans but that was it and i did it direct on their website..
But this isnt the first time this has happened and this is the 2nd time i have had to change my details and i am not a stupid person who buys things of dodgey websites.
I just really need to resolve this and get my money back. I have just sent a email to the Financial os
Never Ever pay upfront all u will get is a payday loan0 -
There is light at the end of the tunnel for those struggling to get there money back but you will need to wait,
I made the silly mistake in doing what most other people do and misread the small print on those broker sites however i was under no impression i was about to be charged a fee from Loansexpress.net
On signing up i was under the impression i was about to receive the loan and it was waiting to be entered in to my account, as i was hot-linked to them from a different company website? and to top it off i relised my credit rating was no good for a loan once i did a good bit of reading i received tons of junk sms and email and still receive them,
Cut a long story short signed up handed my card details over like most people, did not even relies an account existed with loansexpress.net then to relies i had been billed 3 days later fee £69.50,
Confused i began looking to see who took this out my account and got loansexpress.net details on my bank account tried to call them got put in to a loop system where there is no possible way to chat to an adviser (great) 2nd option email (sales only no reply) again great, 3rd Option writing (the route i decided to go)
Thanks to the help on this forum advice given by a few people helped me out massively and most probably was the reason i manged to get my refund,
After around 2 months 3 recorded mail delivery's (1 from the The Financial Ombudsman) i have successfully received feed back on a refund, They even Let me keep my admin fee and refunded the whole £69.50 to my account,
(moral of the story i was stupid not paying attention and its a lesson to be learned a pretty long one)
I would like to say thanks to this forum and the advice given on it helped me a alot with my letters success :T0 -

hi gb the bank is barclays and they have put me through to the world and its wife and still done nothing they have now said he must pay the money back £10 per week until it is paid up then he can close his account i can not believe how unhelpful they have been even with evidence of fraudAre you sure that you are really dealing with the fraud department? OK, I'm not allowed to post a link here as the site that provides the email addresses gets filtered, but if you try searching for "ceo email barclays bank" on Google, the second result down should have ceo email in the name and end with ?q=barclays. That gives you a direct link to the names and contact details for all the senior people at Barclays.
I would suggest emailing the CEO of UK Retail & Business Banking and the Head of Compliance.
Keep your email unemotional and stick to the facts - tell them that you have spoken to a number of people, but that no one will accept that it is fraud and just keep telling you that he is responsible without making any kind of investigation.
Finish the email off by telling them that if you don't get a satisfactory resolution, you will be referring the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service.0
