Hi
I know I am being a bit inpatient but I won a auction on sunday and wondered when I could expect to recieve the item. it was normal post charges.
I sent the seller a email yesterday and the day before to which I have had no reply. I paid instantly after the auction closed via paypal.
any thoughts?

Wow that is impatient! lol The seller would have posted it on tuesday at the earliest and so it is entirely reasonable that it hasn't turned up yet. Although I do find it annoying when people don't reply to emails I don't think you should be worrying until at least after this weekend.0

I agree with Stavros. Just wait for a bit.0

With the Easter holiday there will be a backlog of post, so this is probably what's causing the delay.
Nevertheless though more info from the seller would be nice. As a seller, I always drop a quick email to buyers after they pay, thanking them for payment, and telling them when their item will be posted. It makes for happier customers.0 -
Ah this is my pet hate...I post within 24hours (assuming the PO is open).
I think 48 hours is reasonable unless they state in auction or e-mail you explaining that they can't get to PO.
On saying that the likes of DHL overnight has plumbed new depths 7 days this week!!!
In this case I would reckon you have to wait till Monday really. But if it was sent 2nd class Tueday is not out the question....irritating I know!!0 -
I sell a lot on Ebay, I do not answer sellers emails re delivery of items, too busy, I get the occasional neg but so what, buyers that start chasing the day after payment should not buy from Ebay0

Hi Louise, I always post my goods the same day or the day after. However, buyers I have bought from are not always so speedy. I think that realistically, you should wait 7 days before non-receipt of goods before contacting the buyer. And as for Pascali, are you for real, LOL!!!!Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.0

Hi
Yes, for real, feedback approaching 8600+ with 85 negs, in less than a year. To begin with I answered every email but if you are selling in volume you cannot, I go away for the weekend and come back to 100 + emails, do I answer them or do I post the goods out, I choose to post the goods out, if the same person keeps on emailing me I may reply after a week, or they always have recourse to claiming against me from Paypal. If they choose this route I block emails from them and let Paypal refund them, and write this off .
I am just telling you like it is for me and I dare say a lot of volume sellers0 -
I agree with what people have said. the bank holiday has really mucked things up. someone sent me a record i had bought off ebay last tuesday by second class. i only received it today.
When i sell though i always respond to every e-mail question i am sent, might not be straight away, as i only log in to e-mails a couple of times a day.0 -
I have just recieved an item from a power seller, bought on Sunday. Emailed yesterday saying it was on its way, thanking me for buying. Item here today. This seller has over 800 sales this month.
Better go and leave feedback!0 -
Hi, just wondering whether you could use some of the profit you're making to employ a secretary to reply to the people paying you their hard earned money when they have a problem with their purchases.PASCALI wrote:Hi
