halifax loan single premium initial rejection

Hi, I'm waiting to hear back from halifax after my response to their rejection of my loan, the say they know it was single premium PPI but state that theres nothing wrong with me being offered it at the time - what do you guys think? if there was nothing wrong with it at the time then nobody should have complains upheld…
