Hi MF,
How are things? How is the garden coming along?Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
Hi folks,
I have not posted for awhile. It has been a busy couple of weeks.
The gardening is still coming along. I have done more clearing and chopped quite a bit of a big tree down at the back of the garden.
At the start of August I sowed a few lettuce seeds and Courgette's. I wasn't really expecting much as it is quite late. I have two courgette plants now, so pleased with that. I don't know if I will get anything, but we will see. I also have some small lettuces that I need to pot on.
I will try and put some pictures on my blog soon.
Nothing really to report on the finances front. As I mentioned previously, I managed to transfer all my debt onto 0%.

Hi Folks,
Well, the courgette plants are not doing so well, especially with all this wet and windy and cold weather that has hit the north east. I knew I had grown them too late in the year, but at least it gets me practicing for next year.
As you would expect, I have not done anything in the garden in the last few days; hopefully the weather will be better over the weekend, so I can clear some more.
Tuesday night I baked a lovely cake and took it into work for guinea pig testing. :rotfl::rotfl:
It was called Choc Hazelnut Cheesecake, and it was very rich and fab. It went down well in work, so I was pleased.
I am going to make it again for Friday, along with my flourless choc cake, as it is Macmillian's cancer coffee morning; so I decided to bake to raise a bit of money.
I have also signed up for my first ever 10k run. I did it because I really need to train and get fit, and also, I would love to do the great north run next year. I thought this would be a good stepping stone.
The 10k run is the Sunderland 10k run, and it is not until April next year, but that gives me plenty of time to get fit and going.

Ah, it's a national event? I've been " caught out " / " had ", whatever you like to call it, by this one. I've ended up donating a small fortune, thanks to irresistible buns and the skills of the person who baked them.
Still at least it's for a good cause, and a " one off " ( in terms of buying cakes.)I haven't bought cakes or buns, for yonks.............:rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Folks,
Not been on for awhile, I am still debt busting slowly.
The courgettes that I grew from seed are struggling, they grew to a point, but I thought I had potted them out too late as no courgettes. Oh well, at least it was a bit of practice for next year.
I have done a little bit more gardening, and I had to paint one of the outside windows as it was in desperate need. I will hopefully get around to getting some pictures on my blog and keep the updates going, but nothing to report, so fairly quiet at the moment.
Hope everybody is doing well.
Take care
