Dont think there be alot if room if i was to just rent a room.

You might be surprised rambo, my brother rents out one of his spare bedrooms and the room is huge with a wash basin installed , the lodger is able to use all the kitchen facilites and shares the family bathroom as necessary. They try to have friends of family members if possible so might it be worth asking family members and friends if they have a spare room, I don't think they have to declare the income up to around £4000 per annum, someone will correct me if I'm wrong..:D

I would advise against renting a room somewhere, if you needed to go to court to gain access to your daughter, a judge may not look favourably on you sharing with strangers, and may only grant daytime access with no overnights.

Aim for at the very least a studio flat.

Unfortunately the system as it is currently set up does not allow a room for children unless you are the PWC, and it also does not access child maintenance as income for the PWC, but the money counts as income for the NRP for benefit purposes even though they do not have the money.

I think the suggestio of the bunk bed with room for a cot under it is the most suitable short term solution.

My husband was i exactly the sam sitaton as you when I met him. luckerly his faily are usd to all making do. His son shared his bed, slept on a blow up mattress down the side of his bed, sometimes slept in with his gran or auntie, ad at times hy husband slept in the conservatory.

Op unfortunately you will just have to make good of a bad situation. There are many alternatives from putting stuff in storage (paid or in the loft) and maybe think about you sleeping in the living room when you have your daughter stay?

Have you had this conversation with your family yet to see what can be done collectively to help you out with this. Do your family recognise how this is hindering you; and how some support would help - is there any scope financially to help you (due to lack of spacial help)- so you could move on. Grandparents often like having grandkids round...

Fair credit to the OP (Been there to an extent but not as cramped it was 10 years ago but all much better now).
