Is it still acceptable to commute to work wearing trainers??

I used to wear trainers to take the bus to work, in the days when I wore heels most days. I often got sent out on messages and I'd stick the trainers on for those as well.
A lass I worked with kept fluffy slippers under her desk and wore those all day when there were no clients around!
Now I have a pair of sensible school shoes and can walk for miles in them so don't need to take another pair with me. And most offices will have someone who walks or cycles in and changes there.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0

I wear my easy-tone trainers for the 15min walk from car to office - I bet if said you were going to wear these kind of trainers it'd appeal to their vanity!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
