Eeeek! That sounds like one to avoid  I'm pale enough as it is! I've just seen that the MAC transparent finishing powder I was going to get also has reviews suggesting it makes you look very pale in pics!

I'm not near to a Bobbi Brown counter but will have a chat to their online makeup advisors and see if they can recommend me something :)

Yes EL double wear makes me look white on photos too :( I started using it a year ago in prep for the wedding & love it & then someone said about it looking white on photos so we went & looked at our holiday photos from Lindos last year & my face was really white:( I also tried a sample of Dior Forever which last well that looked good on photos but i didn't like it. I have now tried & like the New benefit hello flawless oxygen wow foundation & am going with that. What a mine field makeup seems to be.

Well the search continues I called into my local Debenhams on Wednesday and there was nobody at the Clinique counter so they lady at Benefit gave me a lil makeover, she used three different products before the foundation even went on and with every lil pot costing around £ 25 each it was pretty steep, I liked what she had done but it was still very heavy and when I got outside into natural light I could see that it was too dark for my skin. When I got home I went to avon website and ordered loads on offer 2 x foundations, water proof mascara, highlighter and some other makeup for £50 and if that’s no good I send it back and get a refund, then it’s back to the drawing board again.
  • Just to play devil's advocate - if you don't wear enough makeup you might find you look washed-out in the photos...they can drain colour like there's no tomorrow, especially if your dress is white.

Definitely I don’t mind wearing a lot for my wedding day, it takes a lot of make up to look natural and I want to get it right because after the wedding all I’ll have to show for it is the photos. I have been playing around with make up at home then taking photos in different lights with and without the flash to see what works on me

I was only planning to wear some tinted moisturiser, concealer, finishing powder and blusher as I hate the feel of foundation on my skin. I bought some BB cream and absolutely hated the feel of it. I may have to go back to trying out some foundations but have no idea where to start, especially since I don't want to be forking out a fortune on a load of foundations that are no good.

Do you know which type of Estee Lauder foundation you've got Hollie? I'm looking for a light foundation and have heard good things about bobbi Brown and Mac so far. Sounds like this one of yours could be another contender!
Its double wear and have to say ive had pictures taken wearing it and it dont make me look pale.even spoke to FIL about it before i tried it and he said thats where photoshop comes in lol but as i say have had pictures took and it looks really nice.If your worried then grab a sample from boots and have a look and see what u think.

Try mineral makeup - really lightweight. Eyeslipsface are super cheap and if you like it you could treat yourself to a more expensive one like bareMinerals or Lily Lolo.
