Beauticains are only trained in the basics, try to find a Makeup Artist. Makeup counters also train their staff. I did a HND in makeup artistry but as my mum n sis are having a MUA i didnt want to be left out. that was last min though and i had a trial at chanel...£25 But can take off from the price of a product. Bobbi brown did a free trial although i spent a fortune! I would say go for another trial with a MUA and see how you feel. Ive just had my lashes and nails done for thursday, loving it!

    Totally agree with this.

I had 2 make up trials with different people and I jsut didnt like either of them, then I realised i was the worse customer I know what I like and I ended up doing it myself, I went to a few counters before (benefit, estee lauder and MAC) and then brought a few bits from each. I had my brows, lashes and nails done but everything else I did myself and felt far more myself than if I had had someone else doing it.
Also I would say it was nice to do it myself without someone else fussing around me the morning of the wedding if that makes sense.

I think I'm going to have to do it myself wedding is just under 5 weeks away, i'll hit up some make up counters to buy the products and at least i'll have something to show for it too, what do people think of avon products because they have some good offers and i'm thinking i could save a lot getting it from there?

I believe you can get a free mascara from marie clare magazine this month . Yeah looking like

Pick up the latest copy of Marie Claire to get your hands on a free Avon mascara worth a whopping £10! You can choose from Super Shock, Super Curlacious and Super Extend mascara.

Oh dear, I'm worried now as this is exactly what I have booked....and I wear very very little make up so hope it's not going to look caked on! My trial is the week before the wedding, I am dreading it now!!

Am I best making sure my skin is moisturised and a flawless as I can possibly get it (lots of steam room sessions!) before the trial? I'm interested about these lines, I'm 24 and can't see any lines at the moment but worried some may develop!!

Do you know which type of Estee Lauder foundation you've got Hollie? I'm looking for a light foundation and have heard good things about bobbi Brown and Mac so far. Sounds like this one of yours could be another contender!

Eeeek! That sounds like one to avoid  I'm pale enough as it is! I've just seen that the MAC transparent finishing powder I was going to get also has reviews suggesting it makes you look very pale in pics!

I'm not near to a Bobbi Brown counter but will have a chat to their online makeup advisors and see if they can recommend me something :)
