If she is this:weepingtree wrote: »yep single stay at home mum 3 kids , so assuming full benefits .
why are you doing this:
thus giving her the opportunity to do this:weepingtree wrote: »I offered to change nappyweepingtree wrote: »I then got moaned at that I had wasted a nappy !
As I said in my first reply, unless she's prepared to do something about her smoking, I'd tell her you're not interested in hearing how poor she is.
You sound too nice to be bothering with such a selfish moaner.0 -
Offering to change a nappy is being helpful, when my older 3 were toddlers it could be really hectic and anyone (a trusted person obviously) offering to change a bum would have been welcome to!
I have changed nappies for friends children before if they were busy and thought nothing of it.
It's the waste of a nappy comment that would annoy me, and the not knowing the smell, but then smokers do have a considerable reduction in their sense of smell.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Personally, if the single stay-at-home Mum was as ungrateful as the OP says she is, she could go whistle for any assistance from me.0 -
Yes the ingratitude would have annoyed me too.
What I was trying to say was that just because the OP's friend is a single mum without a job doesn't mean that no one should ever offer to give her a hand by changing a nappy when she might be busy with another child!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Is there a reason why you can't?0 -
Yes it would cause me loads of problems.0

Then I guess you're just going to have to put up with her moaning and !!!!!ing and just come on here and have a vent when it gets too much.

Why don't you just tell her to stop moaning about it!
Unless you can give me a very good reason you can't.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
