Giving a months notice, + general moving advice.

My bolding,
You do have a tenancy agreement, just not a written one. As I said in a previous post the current tenancy periods use the FT expiry date as the start point - tenancy periods therefore running from 23rd of one month to 22nd of the next. Your written notice must therefore be received by the LL/LA no later than the 22nd or you will become liable for further rent.
Thank you tbs624, I will be posting the notice tomorrow, as well as handing a physical copy to the letting agent on the 26th when they inspect.
Do you think this wording is okay as far as my amended rent?
I am writing to give my 1 months notice required to leave the property of xx.
As my fixed term tenancy ended on the 22nd January 2009, I will be vacating xx on or before the 22nd of August to coincide with the tenancy period.
I have calculated the rent payable for August as £458.20 and the standing order has been amended as such. I calculated this by multiplying the monthly rent by 12 and diving by 366 (taking into account the leap year) I paid an extra £183.94 to cover that initial period of 23rd July - 31st July when I first moved in according to my receipts, as well as the month of August upfront. If you have any issues with my calculation of the final rent owed, please feel free to contact me.
Please contact me regarding the checkout inspection date as I would like to be present for this.
Thank you in advance,0
