Jesus, this forum gets worse and worse everyday.
The BOE will ensure that House Prices will NOT CRASH because they will NOT sharpley raise rates e.g from 5% to 10% in one year (only something like this would cause a crash). I am not saying that prices will not fall but a crash will not happen and references to the 90's is totally irrelevant as it is a totally different situation.
What I would suggest is that you folks should all get used to the fact that the day a factory worker can afford to buy a 4 bed house on his wage is now gone (how ridiculous is such a situation anyway?). In my opinion those that did not do well in school and who have not become a successful entreprenaur should not even hope to be able to buy any house whatever the size. e.g Train drivers on £30K, nurses on £25K and especially supermarket check out folks on pennies (again how ridiculous is such a situation). At the same time those claiming benefits should only be given enough money by the state to be able to only live on baked beans on toast everyday. How such folk can afford to buy Burberry clothes, a mobile phone and be able to run a car is completely amazing and in my opinon the thing that is wrong with society.
I agree that house prices cannot continue to rise forever. However, whether at the current levels they are unaffordable by the people who should be allowed to afford them is another question.0 -

!!!!!!
While some of your points are "valid", in the whole it is utterly naive and narrow minded.....Debt at highest (November 2005) = £35,856
Debt currently (August 2006) = £20,790
&More £1,530, Egg £6,800, HSBC £3,760, Egg Loan £8,700
Interim goal = £23,400 (Target: February 2006, Missed but acheived May 2006)
2nd Interim Goal = £15,000, Target October 2006
Debt Free Date = February 2008 BUT I'M GOING TO BE TRYING FOR SOONER!!!

Agree with some of your comments !!! ...,,but you do comes across as being a bit of a plonker !!! :rotfl:0 -
Nurses are mostly graduates now, so it can be pretty much accepted that they did in fact do well at school. I presume these comments were just made to wind people up?0

I will assume that you are in fact just winding people up and are not the little bigot you appear to be.
Nurses are extremely underpaid for the amount of studying they have to do. However, referring to them as 'uneducated' only displays the delusional planet you live on. There are many people who are making money doing nothing more than placing 'bets' in the stock market, I would not say that this makes them educated, rather just lucky (of course this is a generalisation).0 -

So, in your 'opinion' the people who look after the entreprenaur when he/she is sick, transport him/her around the country safely when required or packs his/her shopping, is not worthy to own any type of house?
What utter utter nonsense!! The country only works as it does thanks to the different types of people and skills that they have - working together!! You have a very warped view of the country you live in. It is people like you that make me question myself as to why I still serve in the military. For what its worth, i'm degree educated and do my job for £30k without moaning so that the countries entreprenaur's can do what they do - freely!
There are not very many rich people in my opinion who deserve their wealth. 0
