Morning all Im back
We had the most amazing time in Italy which is the most beautiful country I have ever been to, we stayed in an apartment up in a tiny village in the mountains, and ate out at least once a daydid loads of walking and sight seeing, and met the most lovely people, weather was very hot and sunny, so its a bit of a shock to come back to the rain.
WM is on with the first of many loads, but wont be able to hang it out, will have to drape it about the place.
Dinner today will be some pork chops, with freshly dug new potatoes, carrots and courgettes, all from the veg man up the road, which my lovely mum got for us yesterday.
Will not be able to catch up on what I have missed, so hugs to those in need, have good days all xx0 -
Good morning all,
Raining here. It kept me awake on and off through the night.
Woke up with a headache. I do suffer with headaches but for me i find those ones the hardest to shift.
Not too much planned today. We did the front and back garden yesterday, so they now look nice and tidy. I've got to get some fruit so that i can make a fruit cake this afternoon.
Having a roast later as we will be watching the grand prix.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all , well it is dry at the moment but clouds are hovering. Have to take DD up into the forest as her BF is bike racing there, she's going to take Jack for a walk too. Had a lovely time at my friends DG's party yesterday we took my DD's friends little girl who is nearly 3 and she had a great time. Need to get washing dry today and do food shopping:eek: Seem to be spending too much since DD has come home despite being on grocery challenge.
Hugs to all in need Butterflybrain sorry to hear you were in hospital , hope you are on the mend, welcome home Redruby shame you can't bring sunshine back with you. Morning all
Butterfly Brain - sorry to hear you have been in hospital, take it easy and get well soon.
RR - Sounds like you had a fantastic holiday, hope the rain doesn't make you all depressed!
JackieO - Enjoy your day with your family.
Worked last night till half 10, came home and DD was still up so we sat and chatted till gone 12 with a glass of wine! Woke up at 6.30 and decided it was too early. I usually have problems getting back to sleep but woke again at 9.15!!
Made pancakes for breakfast, got friends coming for sunday lunch about 2 and then off work tonight (thank goodness!).
Spent most of yesterday with my arm down a drain in the garden and eventually had to admit defeat and phone a friend's husband. Between us we managed to clear it so I will just have to fill in the hole in the garden now!
Enjoy your Sundays. Take care. XX0 -
Hello all.
First chance I've had to sit down for a few minutes today - been baking all morning; bread (in the BM), coconut and cherry cakes, and a quiche. Doesn't sound a lot, I know, but everything takes me ages to do these days. And of course I had to take Dilly out first, which took a while, as she wants to stop and sniff everything.:D
We saw Tasha out with her owner, who told us that the balancing lake is full, and the field flooded right up level with the footbridge! I've never seen it like that in the 10 years I've lived here - glad Dilly and I were going the other way!:D
JackieO I know what you mean about getting up and moving around to "unset" your bones; this wet weather doesn't help, either, I reckon. Yesterday the physio-terrorist showed Mr LW how to gently press on my first rib to push it back down into place, so we're going to try that morning and evening, to see if it alleviates some of my discomfort. She had originally told me how to do it myself, my draping a towel over my shoulder and pulling on the ends of the towel, but that didn't work too well because I don't have enough grip in my hands, and all that happened was that my hands slid off the ends of the towel. Poor Mr LW - yet another task he has to do for me, I guess.:(
Right, I must get on - haven't checked my email yet, and the oven just squeaked to tell me the quiche is done.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon allButterfly_Brain wrote: »hospital for the last ten days, it turned out that I had a nasty case of cellulitis and ended up on a drip of antibiotics to clear it, no wonder I felt so rough.e
ButterflyBrain - Oh poor you, I've had cellulitis twice in past 6 months and it's horribleluckily both of mine were treated with anti-biotics, but the first time cos I left it so late to go and have it looked at (:o - I didn't want to bother the GP), I had to go to A&E and they almost admitted me. Take it easy x
Gintot - no probs, glad you liked it. Also, Home Bargains does tins of different beans, 3 for £1.
Well the wedding was better than I expected, nice people, lovely food, and the sun came out for the photos. Me and my friend left about 10.30 and went to the local town for a nightcap and rolled home at 2am!! :rotfl:. Good night. We were up early and went to have breakfast at the local golf club before I came home.
On sofa now waiting for the F1 to start, but have huge dilemma as I want to watch the tennis too! I may just flick back and forth between the two!
Sun is shining a bit here, washing out to dry but on the airer as showers are forecast so it's easier to pull in if it rains. I do feel like maybe I should go out and enjoy the sun, but to be honest I just wanna sit on the sofa :rotfl:.
OS wise - WM been on, tidied, hoovered, HM freezer meal for tea, HM soup with HM bread for lunch, will freeze rest of the bread.
Have a fab day all

Afternoon All
We have sun peeking through so I have put the airers on the patio to finish drying the washing that I did yesterday. I will get DD to iron later.
I still haven't got my mojo back and I can't be asked to do anything. I hope it doesn't last long
Dinner tonight is roast chicken and all the trimmings and I have lots of strawberries that need using up in the garden, found a box of meringues in the cupboard and always have double cream so it looks like Eaton mess for dessert
Glad you had a great holiday Redruby
DS has just shouted that it is raining again so he has brought the washing in again...Oh well I tried.
Off to watch tennis BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

They are gorgeous Islandmaid, hope they aren't as michievous as our new kitten. My DD named him Loki after the Norse god of mischief and he does live up to his name. Kittens are a time waste though much better than watching TV.:rotfl:
