I got my ice lolly moulds at Superdrug for 99p - they work well with straw thingy in holder to suck up melting juice.

To remove lolly from mould, just run briefly under warm water then lift out.

I got some lolly moulds from wilkinsons today. They weren't in the kitchen section though - they were with the summer stuff so ask an operative if you can't find the blumming things.

    mmmm...lollies

Hmm, this thread might be 4 years old, but I just found it via a link in DFW. I have some lolly moulds I got last year (on ebay, but pound shop were doing them in summer too). I am inspired to try make some more inventive lollies with DS this year.

just caught this thread from the NSD thread and thinking I might try the frozen bananas as sometimes I buy bananas and we dont use them all, so if I see we arent going to get through them I am going to put them in the freezer. so do you eat them straight from frozen?

tinned peaches, yoghurt and a little sugar whizzed. Add raspberries for peach melba.

Banana, kiwi and a little oj whizzed

tinned pineapple, coconut milk or desicatted coconut

a simple custard made with milk, cornflour, cocoa and sugar - just like choc mini milks! Same without the cocoa and some vanilla instead

Banans cut in half and a lolly stick shoved in the frozen, even better dipped in melted choc and nuts!

    Blueberries and yoghurt

I slice bananas then dip in chocolate before open freezing on a tray. Once frozen, you can put them in a bag and just have one or two at a go for a little treat.

But I have no ice lolly mold to make them in :( And they're probably expensive and I have nowhere to keep them, so I don't want to buy them either :money: Does anyone have any good suggestions on what I can use?

probably? Why not find out? I have just bought a pack of 8 lolly moulds off ebay for £2.99 p&p free. They take up only as much room as a box of 6 eggs. Of course if you only live in a broom cupboard I can see that this might be an issue but for normal people in normal small houses and flats, I can't see this being an issue. If you don't want to buy lolly ,moulds and haven't a tiny space to keep some if you bought them, I can't see how else you could manage. Best carry on buying them I guess.

I know this is an old thread, but it's the right time of the year for resurrecting it.. ;)
just wanted to say that I've tried using bananas in my lollies and they are absolutely delicious :)
I found some interesting recipes here:

The moulds are £1.50 at Asda, if anyone is looking.

Reawakening this thread as the temperatures rack up.

Here's an idea for the grown-ups to replace your liquid tipple: DIY gin & tonic ice lollies. This recipe is pretty fancy, but you can easily forgo the mint leaf and cucumber to keep things simple.
