    thanks guys!

    got a quote on a Mondeo £12995
    deposit £5000
    part ex £1250
    36 monthly payments @ £269 pm

anyone know how i work out apr? is this a good deal?

What would you do after 3 years, sell and buy another? Just a thought. You could put £5k in your bank and lease. Mondeo 2.0 tdci edge. £836 deposit £285 / month, brand new. No warranty or such issues to worry about. This is just an example from a lease site. Leasing you don't own the car but no big loan involved and the car is new.

but your limited to the mileage? I do 15 - 20k miles per year. But its a good idea i suppose as i wouldn't need to put a massive deposit down

    Hi

I did a quick Google. Nationwide vehicle contractors came up but most lease deals from different companies seem the same price.

I just put in 20,000 miles a year on a Mondeo and the figures were £312 a month and £800 deposit.

It's fun just to look at cars on the site and have a play. You can increase the deposit to reduce monthly payments etc.

I leased a car, KIA Sportage, through the dealer though. I haven't got the car yet but I look at the lease as a utility to pay.
I like the fact I have cash in the bank and no huge loan but can run a new car for a monthly fee, I don't have to sell it in three years I just start again.
