Getting out of contract
Comments

Why did he sign up to a 12-month contract if you weren't going to remain at your previous address for 12 months? There are plenty of 1-month contracts available.0

No there isn't, it's not Vodafones fault you moved house. Try to get a sure signal box out of them, this will at least give you signal inside the house.
Does the area have signal on Vodafones signal checker?0 -
Have you tried switching your phone from 3G to Edge to see if that helps?0

My OH has a Galaxy Nexxus contract with Vodafone. We have recently moved and he now can't get any signal where we live or in the surrounding area. There is still about 12 months left on the contract, is there any way he can get out of it?
Thanks
Yes, ring them and ask to leave and pay any outstanding balance for the rest of the contract.0 -
All you can do is moan at them via Customer Services, but since it is a MOBILE phone, it is hardly a major issue, simply that it won't work where you live. After the minimum period, dump them for a network that does, but DO remember to check this out first!0

The network map reports good reception for txt, calls and internet in our area. The sim has been changed twice in case that was the problem but it hasn't made any difference.0

Ask Vodafone to give you a Sure Signal device to connect to your home broadband0
-
1st option Sure Signal, (if you moan at them enough they will give it for free)
2nd option, play the waiting game, as there are rumours on the grapevine that Vodafone and O2 are to start sharing signal, so this could vastly improve your connection.0 -
I would say also go for Sure Signal if you have broadband, I rang them and they agreed to send it out straight away.
If not I'd argue that they are not able to and are not providing the service you are paying for which is a breach of contract, especially as their coverage checker shows that you should have good reception.0 -

Maybe you should check what you typed and then what the OP typed and compare both and see what the outcome is.
I will let you work that one out.0
