Well now I've seen it I have to agree, it looks very odd. It's neither of the 2 standard ways of doing it. It just doesn't look correct.
You need to talk to the fitters/supplier, you said this was a bespoke fitting, most out of box kitchens have better finished corners.
Let us know how you get on,I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Hi
They guy has explained that since the edge of the doors are rounded a bit, the end panel needs to be set back. Otherwise, the gap will look big between the rounded edge of the door and the straight edge of the panel.
We had a long discussion that if this is the case, then all the panels should be set back equally.
I had not choice as I didn't specify that bit of detail like Jaynne said(to be honest, I never noticed it before!) Reluctantly, he will change the too short panels to match the not-so-short ones.
Many thanksBe nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -
It does not look too bespoke to me..... but it does look a little odd...
I would not be happy with that finish either.
Did you visit their showroom, and was there a display finished in that way, or did you just buy from a door sample?0 -
Just an update
They have replaced the panels to match the rest. All are set back now.
cddc, no, I did not visit their place. I gave a picture of a kitchen I wanted and he built it for me.
Thank you all for your time.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0
