Had flu jab this morning so suspect the after effects of that arent helping much as it always makes me feel vile.
So chilly tonight I have lit gas fire, cat loves me for it but suspect bank account wont be very impressed.
Keep thinking it would be a good idea to get out my knitting or crochet but can't make myself pick it up and start......stupid really as it's right next to my chair lol. Must try harder.
Love your dog Fuddle. Please be patient with any mis-spellings and typos I am officially useless with a touchscreen keyboard!!! :mad:0 -
My hubbies carer as a son who is half greek and half english, he has been in greece with his father for all his life he is 22 yrs old.........
He phoned his mum 2 weeks ago and said he is coming back to uk cos greece is really really bad , he cant find any work, he is now totally broke , his last job was in a hospital in Athens and he said it was so short of vital medical supplies, and also the riots in Athens, so she got him a flight ticket home , he came home on Thursday , much to his mums relief..........Good job he didnt give up his English citizenship...............
Ive got nothing to do with Greece but I still find myself hoping it wont get any worse for them, and I hope no one is suffering to badly.........
Well we had our flu jabs today, plus rapid response got here a few mins after we got back.........
I lit the fire an hour ago , so im now going to chillax in front of it, ive been so busy today , and the day as just gone...Just need a bit of coal and couple of logs and that will do me nicely til about 9 ish.......Only need to keep one room warm at night while sitting down.......
It was spose to be a wet day , but the sun as shone all day, we just dont get much rain at all on the coast....
SHH lives approx 26 mile from me, so let me know please if you got any rain in Ipswich today....?
So at least I did line dry again which is a bonus..........Need to try and keep dryer off with the recent fuel bill prices.........
We did, about half past 3, but not as much as it looked as though we would. The sky was black! So I went out and got the washing back off the line and onto the clothes horse, but the rain never really go to anything. Glad it didn't, DS1 was paintballing with friends and DS2 has gone to banger racing with Errant Husband.Hi

Churchmouse, Italy and Spain are in an even worse situation than we are in Greece, so they won't be any better off going there than if they came to Greece. I never said it was unsafe for tourists or anything else to stop them from coming. I said that most tourists come for holidays and are unaware of any problems if you read my posts on here. I am saying how it is for the locals, I have lived here , year round, for nineteen years and I know how hard they are going to find it this winter.
Oh I never meant to imply it was unsafe for tourists, and my family will not have taken it as such either. No what I told them was the awful privations the locals are enduring. We were all amazed people still going to work when they haven't been paid for a year!!!! We wouldn't have afforded to even get to work with no pay, let alone feed and house ourselves. The queues to try and get healthcare, now the rolling strikes, and I thought you had mentioned some civil unrest. I imagine after the further cuts to pensions and wages that you've mentioned things are going to be dire. I would imagine that will have a dreadful effect on the country's morale, and that can impact on the general mood. I haven't heard of the same privations affecting Italy or Spain. It was their choice to switch to Italy, I think there were one or two that always favoured Italy anyway. I hope Greece can pull it round, but it's not looking good at the moment is it?You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Hi JKJ, chip in and out whenever you like
Up to the blanket show I go. I've got the free kindle app on my phone. ingenious I hear you say... an expensive freebie I suspect, what with new glasses needed in the not so distant future. It's murder on the eyes I tell ya, murder!
....
I can change the font size on mine, Fuddle - DS2 likes it on the biggest size with white print on a black page. Which is fine but it affects all books you're reading so I have to put it back when I got back to my books, then he puts it back when he reads his book... It's under 'view options' on my phone, when I press the little button that isn't home or back or search... I just asked DS1 and he found that he can change his font size too, but hadn't done it before.0 -
Just popped on to say PAH says Hi and she is keeping her eye on us all but having a break for a little while, Im sure she will be back soon.
Good news about Pips Mum, glad all is well.
My DD went to a college reunion tonight and half an hour later put a plea out on faceb**k - a college friend of hers found out yesterday that she is 8 months pregnant  the girl really isnt dim from what I remember but havent found out much till I talk to Dd tomorrow. Apparently my house is now collection centre for Baby stuff as Im in all day everyday She has already got the girl a baby bath, bath seat for 6 months on and numerous bags of baby clothes. I think it may be like Piccadilly station here for the next few days. Hope she remembers to have a good night out as well. :rotfl: Good job I look on FB or I would be baffled when stuff arrives .Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -

I used to have a lovely Roses tin, perfect for the job... until I set fire to it in one of my experiments :rotfl:
The picture of relaxed contentment... in my chair!
He is lovely xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
