    Hi
I posted a while ago to introduce myself but life very tough at the moment and havent had the oomph to do more than read since. I've been utterley miserable today but reading all your posts has got me through so I just wanted to say thank you. I dont know any of you but seeing the familiarity of your names on screen makes me feel not so alone. You sound lovely. Thanks again

    Yes hope you're OK PAH.
Stiltwalker I don't think I realised your wedding was quite so soon - how exciting!
Rather strange day. We saw A Monster in Paris this morning, quite a sweet little film. Got home and decided chores needed doing big time....so sofa pulled out, half a binbag full of cr*p from underneath it (the joys of children), windows cleaned, and deck swept. Then DD started to feel really bad and she's such a drama queen she never copes well with illness. She was sick, then fell asleep on the floor. She missed the first couple of dances in Strictly, woke up and by the time it ended she was doing the waltz around the floor and picking the remains of our dinner so she's been to both extremes in a few hours. She is now critiquing the performers on X Factor (She's very strict.) and having a pillow fight with DS so a full recovery I think.

    JKJ join in the fun!

  • Celebration tubs are the best, they are plastic & dishwasherproof, I get my work colleagues to save them for me.
Today I made 6 jars of mincemeat, that's my Christmas prep done, lol.
3 wrinkled apples cored & chopped.
    1 pk suet
3 packs Mr T's mixed dried fruit
    200gms sugar
Brandy or Whisky (or any other suitable booze)
The dried fruit cost £1.92, I was given the apples, I added a mixture of whisky & Amaretto, as they'd both been in the cupboard for 3 or 4 years, there was only a small amount in both bottles, I used cherry brandy one year when it was all I had.

I have a trick to get him off my chair ;) I say cuppa tea, he flies in the kitchen by his bowl, I make a cuppa and put a dribble of milk in his bowl. I waddle back quickly trying not to spill said tea and plonk on my chair before he finishes his milk ;) He falls for it everytime :rotfl:

Ohhh Hester that sounds good, the mincemeat, even I might give it a try!

JKJ, sorry things are rough, remember you can PM me if you want to talk or let off steam.

Fuddle, he's so lovely and matches your chair which is also lovely. :)

Stiltwalker, wow, only 3 weeks to go! Hope we get some pics.

I'm afraid that chair is a DFS extravagance pre-financial fall. It's 8 year old now and has many a year left (if the dog keeps off it that is)

Hi JKJ, chip in and out whenever you like :)

Up to the blanket show I go. I've got the free kindle app on my phone. ingenious I hear you say... an expensive freebie I suspect, what with new glasses needed in the not so distant future. It's murder on the eyes I tell ya, murder!

With that, i'll bid you g'night. Day in tomorrow, I wonder what excitable experiment/earth shattering woe I come up with tomorrow. ;) g'night x
