Lo FUDDLE - Take a deep breath and sit down for a couple of minutes. Take a look back in your life to when you had all the problems connected with the bankruptcy, then look along the years and see how much you have achieved by your and your DH's sheer determination and hard work to the you that you are today. You have provided your family with a HOME, the fact that it is rented and not in the best condition is an incidental, you have made a home from hard work, sacrifice and love. Hang in there, you have the hope of a HA new home, you might have a little wait for it but surely that would be better than the stresses of sharing with family. Think how the children would be affected by your and DH's constantly being stressed out, more so than you are now. Think of you for once, could you in honesty go back to being with your Mum 24 hours a day every day? You really are the only one who can make the decision but really think hard about how life would be if you did live permanently with your Mum! Fix the loo, it's not fair but it is the little niggles in life that annoy most. Fix it and the problem goes away. Use all your considerable ingenuity, skill, drive and zest to make your lot a better one, you can do it and in the fullness of time you WILL have your new home, and shed the problems, Chin up, Lyn xxx.0

Fuddle please take note of what Mrs L says.

Fuddle - if your mum hasnt offered I wouldnt even be considering it, the chances are it will simply make matters much worse between you.
Am exhausted, all the rushing round has caught up with me and I cannot see how I will keep going for another potential twelve hours. Have attended assembly at DS8 school and brought him home with me, he is missing the hour where the are on free time, and he often struggles with it anyway. It makes things less rushed this afternoon and means he can spend some time quietly before all the rush for this evening which I think may help.
Have noticed petrol and diesel prices have risen locally today again, its that time of year, nearly half term so they hike the prices knowing people go out then they will wait until just before Christmas and act like Santa and give us a small cut so we feel they care.0 -
I must sound like a right frantic woman.
No moving in with mam would be wrong. I doubt DH would anyway. Scrap that idea. Whoosh, gone.
Toilet. DH is going to look tonight to see if he can find out what is wrong. He will give the LL one last try and if it's not fixed by the end of next week we'll look at fixing it ourself. Whoosh, problem solved.
Damp and peeling wallpaper. DH has suggested that we move into the spare bedroom away from the damp. I am cross with myself that I hadn't thought of that myself! Der. So that is what we'll do. Whooosh problem not gone, but not effecting me.
So sorry to be a blithering idiot.0 -
Good girl! Lateral thinking is positive thinking and no you don't sound like a frantic woman or a blithering idiot, just a friend with some problems that we will all help fix!! Make yourself a cuppa and take 5!! Just remember we're always here if you need us and if you can't say it to anyone else we'll always listen, then eat some chocolate, your allowed just this once, Cheers Lyn xxxxx.0

Do you think I should document in my damp evidence file (I keep it all incase he says we've caused the damp when we ask for our deposit back) that we have moved into the other room because of it or do you think he'll say that the damp is caused by an unused and unheated room. Oh forgot to tell you! The builders weren't replacing the guttering but cleaning it. The neighbour has said that it is chocka full with moss. When the builders come to clean it I'm going to ask if they'll photograph it for me and write on headed paper their findings
I'm getting good at this
And because Lyn said I can I'm off to the Coop to treat me and the girls to a bar of choc to walk up home with. xxxx thank you everyone. I'm sussed with my woes now.0 -
Oh Fuddle! Agreeing wholeheartedly with the others about not moving in with your mam. If nothing else, think of the effect of seeing their nan drinking too much would have on the kiddies - ask me how I know:o
Eek. Just re-read before hitting 'submit reply'. I don't mean I drink too much in front of the grandchildren. FUDDLE - Make that a very big bar and enjoy every sinful little crumb of it !!! Theres nothing quite like feeling it's small sin to add to the enjoyment is there? Cheers Lyn xxx.
I second the Dragon document everything, can only help and might save hassle in the long run! L x.0 -
Fuddle when you have taken pictures try to date stamp them on camera, I would also suggest asking someone to sign and date them too, it never hurts to be prepared for these things - have heard loads of horror stories about issues with LL so best to cover all bases.0
