Lisakay, would love to see the cake when its done. And sorry about the car, the flipping things always go just when you need them dont they, never on the front doorstep:mad:

When i worked in the CS a gang of coppers on a pub crawl(for charity of course ) came in and bought old ladies clothes to wear and stripped off in the shop to change, you would be amazed where you can pop your warrant card when you havent got pockets :rotfl: The classy elderley and very fashionable Jewish lady that volunteered for me didnt bat an eye lid and sent them out all kitted out with a big donation to our pot :T

Yay for Mr Fuddle! If I ever need some kind of fishing champion i'm going to choose him.
Homework woes here. If DD could get any more dramatic she'd be on the stage at the RSC.

Every thing is thrown back in. It's part of the rules of the competitions/places where he fishes. After 10 years of being with him I've only ever eaten some mackeral he caught in Scotland and some pollock he caught off the coast of Ireland when we've been on holiday camping. He's good but that's because he loves doing it. :)

Daughters on a plane to Spain and promised to text as soon as she lands, silly I still worry even though she's 25 :o I will be like an ill sitting hen until I hear she's ok.

No jumbles today so I have been at a loss really. Aunty C came round and we have spent most of the afternoon comparing two cakes I made this morning, ginger cake and low fat ginger cake. After several tries we have come to the conclusion that while warm there's not much difference but when cooled the "not so good for you" cake is the better tasting. The only problem is there is hardly any left of either now :rotfl:

Ooh PIC I really fancy ginger cake now. I wonder if my children will eat it.
Currently attempting peach cobbler for pud, have never actually made a cobbler before even though it must be one of the easiest puds to make.
And can I admit here and now that I didn't realise the 6p sachets of instant custard were actually instant, ie pour boiling water in? I thought you had to add milk and boil them which is why I haven't picked one up. Doh.

  • Thanks for the frozen milk advice, and that site Popperwell - very useful.
    Shall see how we go.
It's really wintery here - cold and wet - and I heard they've had snow on the Ben - cannot find anything about it online though.
