I thought so, thank you
The Oaktree ones is what I had to get yesterday in my delivery. Looks like they've been scrapped then. Crumbs.:(

They still come up on the main site if you log out, so they might be available somewhere. It's possible they are just changing the recipe or something.0 -

Keep an eye out for Branston beans they are always on offer somewhere often the 4 packs of beans for around £1.25, I have had them from Morrisons, The CO-OP and Lidl in the last few months.

I am going to hunt my coop down more often for bargains. Not very OS but can't do without them for cleaning my windows
but I got kitchen rolls on buy one get 2 free from the coop. They had the same offer for toothpaste too. I always avoid it but I think if you can stock up on things when they're on offer it's a good place to have a look into.
Definitely going to have to up our bargain hunting and detective work to make our pennies go further huh?
My supermarket, some one mentioned it the other day. Is it worth shopping via?0 -
Times have got significantly harder here this week, and I need to seriously cut my grocery budget. As some of you know we only have a small co-op and tiny tesco nearby - other options are 40 miles away - tesco/lidl/aldi or 70 miles away - all the biggies. Sounds like a huge difference in distance but it takes 1.25 hours to get to first, and 1.75 to second - due to country roads.
Anyway - am wondering if anyone can assist with how I can find the prices of things like milk, flour, pasta etc in stores like lidl and aldi? I know the others have online sites I can look at - just wondering where would be more cost effective to shop? the petrol distance is negligible due to road conditions, so it's purely down to store prices
Thanks!0 -
I think it's Lidl that have an offer on Branston beans this weekend - for £1. Mr C has converted to them from Heinz, he much prefers them!Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

If you tell me what you'd like to know I'm happy to check Aldi prices for you, don't have a Lidl. I don't think they appear on any pricecheck sites as you can't buy from them online.
Hope you're OK BTW.0 -
I find Aldi and Lidl to be both the same price wise although always head for Aldi as I know what I like in there, I will say that I prefer Lidl's veg but that's just splitting hairs
Milk in Aldi a couple of months ago was £1 for semi-skimmed 4pints. That's all I can remember.
I hope you're alright WCS0 -
Milk is 98p in Aldi at the mo for 4 pints - might be the only price to have gone down, LOL!0

De-lurks again to say, after the ladies pj discussion recently, that Lidl have them from Monday (17th) for £6.99. I have bought them before and found the quality to be very good http://www.lidl.co.uk/cps/rde/xchg/lidl_uk/hs.xsl/index_34385.htmNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task.
