VJsmum - what exactly is it she hates? If she has tried two different places could it be the wrong course for her?
Smiley - hugs, please try to stay about, I am sure we can keep you occupied.
Fuddle- lovely
I think my kids were born in a barn its the only real explanation as to why, when I say I am going to be sleeping now, that they have both spent the last three hours in and out of their rooms with the door slamming behind them GRRRR!

Afternoon all.
Well recovered from grandchild sitting, I got home at around 5pm, served up our meal, it was in sc and was tucked up fast asleep my 6.30pm. Apart from wanting some water and a couple of loo trips I was out till 9.30am this morning.
It wasn't that she was running around, far from it, she spent all day at table doing crafts or sitting on sofa snuggled up to me while I read to her and her to me ( she is 3 so she told the story from mainly the pictures although she can read odd words, and her imagination ran riot :rotfl: Had lots of laughs and singing all day,but tiring keeping the concentration going phew. They arrived back (son/DIL) in time to collect DGS7 from school so didn't need to go and then chatting finding out exactly what both of them will be doing on their respective courses, then a just time to visit optician to fix glasses, managed not only to overbalance and knock them to the floor on Saturday but stood on them as well and knocked out a lens. So all fixed again so don't need to hold things at arms length to read it.
WI tonight so fingers crossed should get there.
My !!!!!! :rotfl:book arrived yesterday but not as yet had much of a chance to more than glance at it, but certainly seems good.
Sunshine and heavy showers is our lot today but chilly even in sun.
I have given up on keyboard as most keys won't work and using on-screen on which is so slow and I watch myself type the wrong keys. Laptop is insured its just I dread how long it would be away to be repaired. Not very MSE as insurance is £8 a month. I need to decide whether going to have it repaired or cancel the insurance.

Have had a talk to the neighbours, and they are going to speak to the owner of the two houses. Last night there was a fight between the two houses and police were called.
So OH and I have sat down and had a chat, we will stay here for a while and see how it goes. Also in four weeks we will be 35 pounds off better a week. We are going to use 10 a week to build our storage food cupboard along with our weekly shopping. We will save the rest and build our saving up.Would like to build up on tea, sugar, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, dried vegs and lots of porridge as OH has that everyday. Think he would be lost with out it.

Fuddle:
Just remembered I was going to mention your dieting troubles. Don't use too small a plate I have a tea plate that is TINY and one that is a little bigger. The slightly bigger one is fine, the tiny one leaves me desperate for more. Also try eating with a small fork - I have a little pastry fork - it slows you up so you don't finish ages before everyone else and have to watch everyone eating and raging at the unfairness of it all.
I had some success with the NoS diet, no sugar, no snacks and no seconds. Am just about to add no stodge and try to cut down on carbs. Not helped by the Rev kindly bringing me back a box of choc ices this morning.
I was once told by a wise doctor that some people lost weight like cutting the end off a lettuce, the weight, like the leaves, just fell off. Some people were like the cauliflower and nothing happened for a while and then quite a clump fell off. Others were like the onion, you cut the end off and nothing happened at all, then the layers peeled off slowly and painfully with many tears along the way.
That doctor was not wrong, I am most definitely an onion.
Honestly Fuddle, I feel your pain.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Fuddle - I might be a recent de-lurker, but there are some people on here I automatically read their posts even if I'm just skimming through the threads. You are one of them because you have some wise and often entertaining, words..... and also because I'm trying to diet and failing miserably. If I craved salad and fruit I wouldn't be in this position!

Hi folks, been missing in action because I am depressed again, been to doctor etc and waiting for meds to kick in. Have missed a lot on here, no chance of catching up.
Found this, might be interesting for those of you with autistic children and I'm going to try probiotics to see if it helps me, although my diet is pretty good already. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/08/30/antipsychotic-drugs-in-children.aspx?e_cid=20120830_DNL_artNew_1
Kittie - lots of organic chocolate for sale at approvedfood today - Green and Blacks.
Probably won't be posting much for a while. Love to you all xxx.
((Smiley)) when you're ready to start posting again, just jump right in.
Thank you for the link, very interesting article, especially suggesting reducing even whole grains. I know when I tried a low carb diet, I felt good, but had put it down to the weight loss... Maybe not.
Worked out my new hours for work, going right down to 16 hours from next week. Well, it's going to give me more time for my family & the house, so that's positive. Seems hard to think it's only Tuesday today though.
Another poster I haven't seen for a while is Kezlou - I think she was volunteering with the olympics so may be still caught up with that.0 -
heck I just sat down, one thing always leads to another but weather is so good for drying that I would have been mad not to have filled the lines. Getting the right setting point for the jelly was a bit tiresome as I have made jelly that is too firm in the past, I used my new digital thermometer and stopped boiling at 104.5 degrees. The jelly at that point was a nice set but it so quickly goes past that point
Have decided to get using my, still perfect`, 2011 brined green beans and half a jar was rinsed and has gone into a soup. Little by little, I need to free space in my small fridge. Needed a topping so made almond cream as had soaked almonds for nut milk but had to peel them so that took time and always standing
I sorted my yarn stash into different bags and vacuumed to try and reduce the volume. Surprised myself by how much good yarn I have, mostly debbie bliss cotton cashmere and merino also 3 big bags bought specifically for alan dart toys only not labelled so, apart from the tooth fairy, I cannot remember what I was going to makeEnough yarn to make 9 pairs of socks but all very nice stuff, so nice I could just sit and stroke them. Fortunately the debbie bliss aran yarns match as do the cotton cashmere. anyway all bags are sealed so that will stop any munching insects
