Glad you had a nice time at HP. We are going in a couple of weeks for DD's birthday (She is 20!)

Went and saw my GP yesterday and she is aghast at my latest decision re ESA. She is writing again so really hope this might help my case. I have also sought welfare rights assistance but they are very slow and I think I am low priority as my husband works (Thank Goodness ). We shall see. I have tightened my belt though and have cancelled my counselling and my osteopathy as these are what my ESA pays for in reality.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Here it is Mar. All that trumpeting on the BBC about it finally shifting was a bit previous... I tend to think Kittie was right - 18th August until the weather settles for any length of time :(

Yes, Kittie and Piers seems to have been correct. Not so long ago I posted that summer was on it's way and I remember Kittie saying that she hopes so but not to get our hopes up as PC doesn't think anything too great until after the 18th August. That feels so long away :(

Can I just say... I need to wash my hair! This is only day two and I feel so heavy headed. I've brushed it all down the strands and tied it up. Will try baking soda wash tonight. I have to say though I don't know if I'm strong enough to get through these next couple of weeks. I have read it coud feel like this for upto 6 weeks

Chicken in SC today and having a cheat Sunday dinner - tinned/frozen veg.

Housework and ironing becons, as well as the bathroom cleaning.

Does anyone know whether you can spin your own yarn (well not my own, I don't have sheep!) without using a spinning wheel? I fancy having a go at dying yarns and spinning but horrified to see a spinning wheel cost hundreds :(

Fuddle I'm sure there's someone on the hoarding thread who restores and sells old spinning wheels. But i'm afraid I'm very non-OS in the whole area of knitting, crocheting, sewing etc and can't help.

Popperwell, I just got cheap ones from Am@zon, a trouser/jacket set for £13. They're propably not breathable but hopefully watertight and got good reviews. I only need them for an about 20 minute cycle ride.

P.S. gosh you're busy in this thread, have to try and catch up reading tonight.

Day three of smokefreeness and fell a lot better than last night :)

I appreciate that...thanks. Maybe I should get a bike too, I have thought about it...when things get more difficult in years to come...

Use a spindle fuddle but prepare to go slowly mad.
I missed kittie saying that, but Windy Wilson on FB said it wouldn't make all that much difference to Scotland anyway so I wasn't expecting a heatwave :( Is like autumn here and last night it was dark and I had to put the lights on - usually in summer up here it's light until bedtime.

DH happy with brekkie, dd is going out later so she will help herself (she is 18 so not neglect honest) and I am having a pot of tea and a browse before shuffling into something resembling action later.

Dishwasher is on and chicken pieces are defrosting in microwave ready for me to marinade later. DH has been promised trout fillet with green beans for lunch so he is feeling treated (YS so not extravagant).

Wish the jet stream would stream back to wherever it should be at this time of year  as it is cool and looks like rain here. DH is going into garden and his beloved potting shed - never seen him so content.

It used to be winter when I felt like hibernating till weather was better but August?????

Have you thought of getting ingredients so you can make your own sweeties? In this weather you will need all the cheering up you can get.
