    Evening all

Fuddle - I love those tights!! I can't knit for toffee but they look so cosy!

Well it's been silly hot here today, DH had hospital first thing and it was showing as 31degrees at 9.30 in the car. DDs went to the beach with friends, came back starving so I've filled them up for five minutes.

Made a decent sized AF order, mainly bread mix (it's fab) and a few other store cupoard bits and bobs but wanted to take advantage of the free delivery.

I've suddenly got a lot of flowers on my tomato bushes so I'm hopeful for at least enough fruits for some chutney. Think I might try and grow everything in hanging baskets next year to solve the slug issue....mind you I bet the little barst@rds will now grow wings just to spite me.

Going to go sit in the garden for a while now its cooled down a bit and watch the kittens play with the moths and flies.....it's better than telly!

Havent had time to fully catch up but just wanted to share that DS8 was assessed today by the lady who diagnosed him, she was shocked at his responses to her questions and has said that she wants to give evidence on our behalf on any case we take up over his teacher. She says he has been damaged and will be hard for him to recover and that under no circumstances can he go back to her :)
Its such a relief to know that we werent imagining it, but on the other hand it was hard to hear his words.

Planning day out tomorrow to treat the kids and generally enjoy ourselves.

Will pop back later when I have caught up. :)

It makes such a difference when you feel you are getting somewhere and have genuine support...

I had a scruple once, it was a feisty little thing always getting into spats with other dogs and very argumentative, could never teach it a recall however and lost it irrevocably to a Droit de Seigneur which was being exercised on the playing field at the same time - they ran off into the sunset together and have never been seen again - story of our lives really isn't it? Have a good one folks Cheers Lyn x.
:D That is soooooooo funny! :D

greyqueen have you thought about eating the snails? If you have an old tank or bucket and muslim you can keep them for a week feed them peelings and oats, then starve for two days (i think) before eating. My council suggests it but I have yet to try it.:(
 By gum, your council likes to live close the edge, doesn't it? I work in a council call centre and don't like to imagine what Mr and Mrs Public would be saying if we were advocating that. I can't eat snails as have a very strong gag-reaction to chewy stuff (can't even do squid-type thingies) but I did know about how you purify their guts before eating them.

Suffice to say, things will be pretty darned bad before I do snails but there are plenty of fat woodpigeons around the lottie and I do know how to dress them out barehanded in 5 mins flat, as was taught by the Mad Bushcrafters in the woods. Rather eat them than the snails any day...........

Friend and neighbour SuperGran was around about tea time for a natter and she was telling me that the door-to-door chuggers are around here again and guess what just knocked on my door? I think they're now doorknocking one of our friendly neighbourhood drug dealers..............could be an interesting transaction.:) Don't think the guy in question would give you the drippings from his nose for free but should anyone with foldable want to buy some skunk............

Joking aside, letting these fresh-faced young students out into one of the most notorious neighbourhoods in the city to talk their way into people's homes is risky. I was glad to see the young lass had a young lad with her; you really wouldn't want your daughter alone in a small flat with some of these geezers.........

Don't think they'll get a lot of joy around here somehow as lots of people are struggling to make ends meet and are trying hard to pay their bills.

fuddle wow, wonderful news about your Mam. Wonders never cease. And of course she should be proud of you- we are!

OK, more tea needed. I am exhausted for some reason, probably caused by slaving over a hot desk in this unusually warm weather.............Have a good evening, all. GQ xx

Gosh, I don't think I could wear those - all that sweating and scratching :eek::eek::D:D:D: What does Mr Fuddle think ?;):D

:rotfl: Mr Fuddle hates the basic Asda black leggings, there's no way he'll allow me to wear a pair of those  Still, kind of funky. See, I'm not woolly educated. I don't know what alpaca feels like :o

It's really sad about the little boy pops. He looked like a gorgous gentle souled little lad too.

I dare not look on AF. I don't need anything other than my stocks an I doubt there will be much I need to buy... and I'm a sucker for a bargain so avoiding.

No knitting tonight as I have a stoving headache. Think it's my sinuses.

There's no good way to lose a loved one...a child...and if someone harms your child the emotions you must feel towards th person responsibel even if they could not avoid what happened and they are as shocked as you but how you must feel when you are responsible for what has happened...I cannot begin to imagine nor how you ever come to accept it...:(

Woohoo I've just been up and watered the polytunnel and while I was watering I noticed that some of the thornless blackberries on the fence at the back of it looked a bit dark
I've just picked half a pudding basin of very sweet and ripe blackberries!!!!! It must be SUMMER! Breakfast tomorrow with some greek yoghurt Mmmmmmmmm!

Took the kids out to our blackberry haunt today (nothing glamorous, behind the pub  ) and theres oodles there, just not black yet. We'll be waiting then we'll pounce when the time is ready :D

Six months and 16 minutes without a fag :j a total saving of £260

Also in the last six months I have not had any alcohol and we haven't been out for dinner, been to the cinema or even bought a coffee or anything while out we always take it with us.

I think the savings made must total nearly 2 thousand pound

My only regret is we didn't do it sooner. There are other ways to cut back I am sure.

£400 left to pay off the overdraft and then the only debt we have is the mortgage
