Psssst, Spiky, don't tell the world and it's wife but the Tax Creds Helpline starts answering calls at 07.45 am, not the advertised 8 am start time. A bit of misc from another life, just don't tell too many people or it'll get busy then, too.;)

Surely that should be a Zombie Shuffle?
Actually, I shall be leaving the chainmail at home if it looks like raining as I'm having a terrible time keeping the rust off it this year. Plus it pinches summat awful.
fuddle, great new about OH's new coat. And how bizarre is it that some of us are within spitting distance of other OS-ers.
I'm not used to going out much in the winter so not sure what to consider if I buy a coat, I have tended just to put my fleecy jacket on and make that do and wear the trainers too but perhaps I should have some wellies, gloves and a hat just in case.
Unless, I am forced out by the changes coming, I won't be out in the weather standing at a bus stop by choice...
There are a few others based in Durham county who may be nearer than we realise. Is this coincidence or is it more difficult "Oop North!" Boudicca/ Boadicea? You could add knife blades to the wheels and freewheel downhill on your chariot screaming at the Romans.

Aw wow what a small world we live in. That were so close to one another
Especially pops and mcculloch
Well thats it another day wasted waiting in for Brit Gas i'm fuming, then saying it was my fault that the engineer didn't turn up
I ended up kicking off saying no i will not wait till monday, my landlady is paying a monthly charge for the boiler to be fixed and your not doing your job properly. In the end i threatened that my landlady was going to cancel the contract and my gas safe registered partner to fix it instead. So they coming tomorrow mornign instead.
Honestly if my partner behaved the way British Gas did today we'd be out of business.
Missed ds2's end of year assembly, gutted as he got up for an award for consistent effort throughout the year. He has worked really hard this year so does deserve it.:)
DS1's chuffed he's got no homework for over the 6 weeks holidays.
Just been looking for cheap campsites and i've found two so hopefully the weather will pick up so we can book it. the two i've picked are in goathland and holwick as we love mooching about low and high force. Both sites are very basic so we'll be roughing it. Oh and found another one Scotland which is in the middle of an island.
Ah just think next week no more school run ahhh
On Monday evening got some free swims off Brit GAs website so fingers crossed we'll be doing that.
Oh and have a look in you local primary times got a few money off vouchers for play centres and things.
A bottle of wine is calling but i'm not sure whether to have a glass hmmm decisons. Haven't tea yet so waiting for OH, and a friend of ours to come back.0 -
I would wrap individual portions in cling film, put them in a plastic bag and seal up. That way you can take out what you need. Foil tends to split and unwrap and seems to go brittle in the freezer.
Fantastic! Cling film is cheaper than foil and I have quite a few plastic bags too..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

What kind of trolley is it Fuddle, a one hand pull/push type or the more boxy type?
How difficult are they to use when in the supermarket when you have a ssop trolley too?
Our local Tesco's have now introduced the mechanism where you have to put a £1 coin into a slot to use it! Quite a few people were not happy about that."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

Be careful which campsite you choose in Goathland Kez We went for uber cheap years ago only to find ourselves camping amongst sheep poop and an outhouse for a toilet... we had booked into to Heartbeat's Greengrass's farm. It was 'orrible lol We went off to Robin Hood's Bay after that. That was a nice site but I don't think it was cheap.0

Evening all!
Oh my gosh spiky I am worn out an dstressed out just reading that post, have a nice sit down and chill out this evening! Hugs x
I freeze lots of meat, for use at a later point and buy the frozen chicken breasts rather than fresh as they are much cheaper, as soon as we are better of money wise I promise I will go back to free range but for the minute needs must.
Anything you do pop in the freezer though make sure you label well to save UFOs, Unidentified Frozen Objects!! :rotfl::rotfl:The amount of times Ive used a marker pen to label something only to come across it a few weeks later and the pens rubbed off!
Im planning on doing a huge batch cook of meals to freeze ready for when"Pea" arrives in October, things like lasagnes, chilli, bolognaise and also some crockpot meals that I found on pinterest. Basically you shove all your ingredients into a freezer bag and label it, when your ready for your meal take it out freezer night before and dump it into crockpot, switch it on in morning...............tea ready by teatime. I think even I can manage that in a tired from nightfeed haze!:DDebt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700:TOver £14,000 PAID OFF :T
