Thinking of you Scotstuff xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning All,
Echo all that everyone has said Softstuff(as you know;))and your thoughts in my direction...
Well, I have spent the night having pease pudding, ham, tomato and lettuce in buns...watching old reruns of old tv shows(This is your life with Laurel and Hardy, Buster Keaton)and I am watching an old movie, a bio of Buster's life...
Good fun...lots of stuff that is my time and rarely seen these days...a good use for the internet...so much out there...
Back to the movie I guess...
Hope today is good to you all..."A government afraid of its citizens is a Democracy. Citizens afraid of government is tyranny!" ~Thomas Jefferson

I am revelling in a bit of a lie in as both kids off on HT today - last day for DD first day for DS. DS is off to see James Bond with his mates later this morning and MIL is arriving at the same time so have to do a bit of taxiing. I may indulge in a bath this morning before all that, though - how decadent!
Kidcat - I think the thing with MOT is that you just don't know if it might cost an absolute fortune, think it is probably the unknown-ness of it that you find stressful. Glad you got to go out for a bit. I can't begin to think how you manage it all - when I am mithering about having to drop some boys at the cinema and pick MIL up at the same time! I am sure she can sit at the station and wait - she is 80 not 8!
I am cooking slow cooker beef in red wine tonight - at least the beef is obvious when I take it out the freezer (unlike last nights curry!!) so there should be no disasters. We had half a bottle of red wine sat on the side for a while so I froze it in ice cube trays. There was a time it would have been unthinkable that there was left over wine :rotfl:
Reunion tomorrow - still don't know what to wear ....
Have a good day allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Hugs Softstuff. You've been through the mill recently, so take care of yourself, and it'll be lovely to hear from you (your muffin recipes are still my husband's favourites!) if and when you feel up to it.0

Really hacked off as I had lots of lovely things planned this weekend but I'm too poorly to do them. Hey-ho, getting lots of purry cuddles...staying in bed is positively encouraged by cats.
Missed !!!!!! last night, turned it on and dozed off so will catch up with that tonight with a large pot of tea. DH will be collected by his parents for a planned meal out (I wouldn't be able to taste it even if I could stop coughing enough), DD1 is going to a party (staying over so doesn't need collecting) and DD2 is off to the theatre with school and will be dropped home around midnight. So Friday night alone - how decedent."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
