Stuck in house waiting for garage to ring as van now in getting exhaust fitted . When I got home was treated by 4 cats screeming to be fed. Feed bin was empty so got new(ish) sack of science diet from spare room where I stored it. When I opened it found it alive with grubs and moths so whole lot went in bin . Had sack of royal canin that I bought at the same time and that was fine . Cats now fed .Date restarted DFW 30/04/16

I think the wood burner is going to be a non starter. I don't have a permanent open vent which may or may not be applicable in terms of age when burner was installed but I'm reluctant to use burner if there is no vent at all. There's one in the kitchen but I suspect that's not near enough. There's nothing in this room I can use as a vent as double glazing was installed long before a venting was included.
Will chat with chimney sweep, but pardon the pun, will need to put on back burner I think. What a shame.
Happy birthday birthday girls! xxx0 -

Thanks pipney jane for the advise about peppermint tea or capsules. We can have a drink as and when we want, not sure how long for as the big bosses seem to be clamping down on everything.
Will try the local health food shop for the capsules, or mr b.
Have just checked my diary, and not in till 5 grrrr. which i had looked earlier as didnt start any major jobs.
Writing my esential shopping list for tomorrow, going to lidl as i have the £5 voucher. Any extra bits will have to go to mr s for. Going to try and keep the weekly shop to under £40. After taking OH with me last time, it was a £95 shop!!! He couldnt believe how annoyed i was over it, but he doesnt have the challenge of makeing the money stretch. He doesnt even know where to begin. Bless.
Have a good day everyone. And thankyou for being so friendly.BSC member 137

Byatt, when we had our woodburner put in we had a vent put in the floorboards in an inconspicuous corner behind the television. It just looks like the sort of airvent you would put in a bricked up chimney and the carpet sits really neatly round itIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Just popped in to say Hi and offer love and sympathy to those who are struggling. Am up to my eyes in things that have to be done today, the wages of procrastination I'm afraid.
Be kind to yourselves.

My pop-up tea room is booked for our first private tea party for next Friday! It's a regular visitor around the cafe/market and I've done her a good deal, on the basis it's our trial run, and that she bigs us up if they like it! It's a surprise birthday tea for her daughter. Simple menu has been agreed. I just need to make one cake, scones and welshcakes, plus a few sarnies, we'll serve bought in crumpets.
Was in W*rk for a bit earlier. Then got a phone call asking for some tax details, which I've given, but I'm down with the IR as self employed, because of the B&B and although I've declared that I'm working too, I've not got a tax code? Person in office was saying they might stop me emergency tax...does that mean I won't get anything until they sort it out  Freaking out a bit now!
I've also picked up a B&B customer for this weekend, and have two cakes to make...been quiet as anything for weeks (apart from the market) and now it's all kicking off. Knackered before I start TBH!

Thanks Mary, but I have stone floors and the walls are 2 ft thick. There may be a way around it, I'll be talking to the sweep guy sometime soon.0 -
Kate, this is based on when I was in HMRC, but emergency code means your pay will have tax deducted at the BR, until you get code sorted out. Your allowance is being set against your B&B self employment. Depending on whether you use up all your allowance on that, you can opt (I think) to have all or part of the allowance given to your PAYE income. You may need to chat with HMRC about it. Well, it's probably quicker if you do, well I hope so.0

Fuddle I hope your little one is feeling better.
Have been missing for a few days as I have the flu and have spent the last few days in bed with a hot water bottle as my friend. I really need to get rid of it soon as I am off to Manchester on the 5th Nov for a month.C.R.A.P. R.O.O.L.Z. Member. 21 Norn Iron deputy h
