Vodaphone reception problems - Can I cancel Contract

I live in the BB18 Barnoldswick area and have an 18 month contract with Vodaphone. I run my business from home and the local area and my mobile is essential. Vodaphone have had a problem with a mast serving the area now for just over a month!!!!! Resulting in zero reception!!! They denied, then accepted there was an issue and there are over 100 posts on the subject on vodaphones own forum. No estimate has yet been given for when it might be resolved - I repeat it has now been over a month!!!! - DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS/GROUNDS TO CANCEL??? - I am having to get another phone with someone else due to the business I am losing!! To me the contract is no longer fit for purpose.

Do you have a personal contract or a business contract with consequensial loss on it?

If you have a personal contract then theres not a great deal you can di, if you have a buisness contract with consequential loss you may be able to claim for lost buisness.

The mast could be down for any number of reasons, some in vodafones control, some not, so unfortuanlty you don't really have any rights that let you cancel the contract, your contracts terms and conditions will say that the network may be down for operational or maintiancne reasons from time to time.

    Have a look here.

Vodafone are supposed to credit your line rental for the time the network is down.

Can you ask for one of their signal boosters that goes on your wifi
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

As the poster above says - ask them for a Sure Signal, or, buy one, make a formal complaint in writing and enclosed your receipt. £50 isn't much for business continuity.

The mast might be down for a number of reasons, from technical fault, vandalism to cable theft. Access and permissions to work are another issue when they are trying to get everything sorted.

    Hope it's sorted soon.
