Advise needed - Min age to buy a burial plot

GobbledyGook - If you don't have the deeds to a plot then you cannot put anything apart from flowers on it, you cannot put a headstone, vase or change the plot in any way. In Bedford, some of the childrens graves have borders and coloured stones.

Mishkanorman - the family are well aware of his comments and views towards my daughter. We have had no communication from them over the purchase of the plot, we would have paid half and had both their names on it, the decent thing to do. That's why it was such a shock to find this out. No-one told her anything.

ljbnotts - Thank you for clarifying registration, its so confusing and no-one really explains anything at the time as your in shock etc maybe something needs be given to parents to explain the difference when you're at home and can digest it all.

I just wanted to post and say unfortunately I know how difficult and confusing his time can be. Also wanted to add that I bought the rights to my sons plot at age 17, so the father may have bought the plot himself, Im not sure if its different for mothers and fathers but I was definately able to but the plot at 17.

My son was born at 27 weeks and was born living and i was given a birth and death certificate at the same time.
