I salute you! Your kids may grow up to be balanced members of society. But you might consider downloading documentaries via BBC iPlayer etc.0 -
You can also find other TV to watch online legally without a TV license on this site http://oric.com - just links to the places to watch it, but without all the "questionable content" that often pops up when you search for TV online.0

If you let them in and they get your name, fool you it to signing something they can copy the signature from, you will regret it.
They are Liars, fraudsters and criminals who have been prosecuted in the past for falsifying evidence.
Do not let them in, remain silent shut the door ! Sign nothing.
You have no TV, you dont need to explain anything to them.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Thanks for all your advice
I am actually enjoying not having live tv so far. I have watched a few films with the kids before bed and snuggled up, but in the day the tv has been off and we have found other things to do.
I didnt have the tv on constantly in the day when I did have sky... but even taking away what they used to have has been enjoyable. I am reading them tons of books too at the moment.
The only thing I am missing is my soaps. Am I allowed to watch these on demand? The day after it has been on tv etc?
I have another 7 days of internet it seems. So I may take advantage if watching past programes is allowed without a tv license.0 -
Yes, it is allowed. As long as you're not watching the programme at the same time as when it's being broadcast. So sometimes you can even watch it later that same evening.0

You only need a licence if you watch content as it is being broadcast. If you don't do this, then you don't need a licence.0 -

Scenario.
You're streaming a sporting event from CBS. Its being broadcast live in the US, going through someones server, then streamed via the internet (we all know the sites) to a PC in the UK.
Stream, by the time it gets to you, is approximately 90 seconds after the "live" feed.
Do you need a TV licence for that?BEWARE OF AUTO-RENEWAL0 -

Yes, technically you do.0 -
Yes, technically you do.
So when does it stop being technical. When it is uploaded to a different platform, say rapidshare, and streamed from there.
Streaming from iplayer = OK
Streaming from rapidshare = OK
Streaming from a rebroadcast from a cable or cardshare = ?
When does LIVE stop being live.
I honestly don't know.BEWARE OF AUTO-RENEWAL0 -

It's all a bit hypothetical anyway, even if you watch it without a licence (which I am not condoning you do) you won't get caught unless you sign one of their forms confessing to it.0
