3 existing customers and tethering

Just wanted to warn people that are existing customers of 3 that are considering upgrading their contracts.
I have been with 3 for 4 years, I have always had a really good contract and it could not be bettered by the other mobile phone service providers.
I was on the Texter 500 that gave me 500 mins talk time, 500 texts, 1GB data allowance and 2000 3-3 mins. For £20.00 I had an HTC android phone that did what I needed it to until recently when the onboard memory became full, so I decided to upgrade. I rang and was persuaded to go on the Ultimate Internet 500. The sales person told me everything that was included but omitted to tell me what I would lose.
I received the phone a couple of days later but as yet I have not received a contract outlining the terms and conditions. Had I had the chance to peruse the contract prior to receiving the phone and identified that tethering would not have been possible the phone would have been returned unused and I would have cancelled the contract. Cynically, I believe this is the reason for sending the contract out after the phone, to prevent customers from exercising their statutory rights thus ensuring existing customers are transferred onto more expensive contracts.
I have been forced onto the One plan that is costing me an additional £8.52 per month for something I had included in my last, much cheaper contract. I am mad because I feel I have been ripped off and I suspect underhand tactics have been employed.
So if you tether and you are upgrading a three contract then you will need to go with the one plan or be stiffed. I would recommend you go on the website before you ring to find out what they are offering new customers.

I was offered a £18 contract with 1 gb data 300 mins and new phone, I was upgrading my sim only contract I told the salesman I wanted to tether, AS I was already, "no problem" he said, LIE, now I cannot get through to cancel spent 5 hours on the phone, they do not answer hoping I will accept this lie, WRONG I have filled in the complaints form written to Executives office no reply. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
