That's a lot of opinion you've got on your side! You need to talk to these people, my advice is CAB or Welfare Rights, but be advised my friend, they do not take every case on. Good luck

From what I recall from previous posts OP, you are deaf. You do realise that many thousands of deaf people work? Do you have another condition that also affects your ability to work?

It say here if the deaf are:
    13. Coping with social engagement due to cognitive impairment or mental disorder
Engagement in social contact is always precluded due to difficulty relating to others or significant distress experienced by the individual.

    and this:
    9. Learning tasks.
    (a) Cannot learn how to complete a simple task, such as setting an alarm clock, due to cognitive impairment or mental disorder.

    and this:
    7. Understanding communication by hearing, lip reading, reading 16 point print or using any aid if reasonably used.
Cannot understand a simple message due to sensory impairment, such as the location of a fire escape.

So, all the CAB, Welfare rights, my GP and social services say I am on all these severe conditions and should be on ESA SG.

I am not here to judge OP and my opinions remain my own. I will help folk as need be in where to go and to point out facts, but I will not get involved with individual cases and their details (tempting as it maybe!)

This is why I am asking if you also have another condition, as most deaf people have learned to adapt so that they can do the above things? If there is nothing precluding you from learning these things, would it be a good idea to seek help in this, as a way of moving forward?

OK, just once - Descriptors 9 and 13 are mental, cognitive and behavioural based - being deaf (a physical impairment) is not likely to make a difference here. Stick with descriptor 7 as your best bet, given what I understand of your condition. To balance things, I agree with mynameistallulah with regards to adaptation if practicable and reasonable....

What am I saying those last two descriptors are wrongly numbered! But you get my drift!

Ok I will ask the DWP to look at the decision again on this descriptor 7 of deafness condition. and should be placed on support group is probably my best bet.

Not all deaf ! You should mind your own business! I am lots worse than these deaf peoples. cannot talk, cannot write and my english rather poor. I cannot fill in the forms etc. The social services had to help me all times.

I had no english, maths or reading at school. nothing at all. My last job the fork lift truck hit me twices because i cannot hear it from behind me.
