Creation Finance - Beware!

Another word of warning with Creation....I took out a Maximiles Credit Card as they offered 3 (paltry):( months of free spending plus 5,000 extra Maximiles points. This was ok for me at the time as I needed some household appliances which I could pay off in 3 months BUT, after 4 months I suddenly realized that the promise of 5,000 extra points had never materialized. I had a b..of a job finding a phone number at first and when I rang, all I could hear was loud music and some woman giving me some incomprehensible reasons why they were not added. I did not give up and she finally agreed to add them on and investigate herself why the points had been missed off. ALL these finance firms are the same..and also be warned of GEM. I had interest free credit with them on 2 occasions and paid it off early because they caused me so many headaches. Answer??? PAY CASH!:mad:Carh:A0

I have had some one from creation fiance ring me up offering me a loan for 15,ooo pounds and that i need to wait for a letter of confermation and that the repaymnts would be 173pounds per month i have not recieved my letter yet and with readind the stuff bout them on here is it wise to keep away are they real or is it all just a con has any one had experience with having a loan with them
Last year I bought 2 netbooks from Dell with an option to pay in 12 months and incur no fees which I have done previously with no problems. Dell now use creation finance - I have called today to pay the balance so that I don't incur any charges - beware they do not write to advise you that you are coming to the end of the interest free peiod of the agreement, they charge 4% for a credit card or £3 to process you debit card! The only way to clear the balance is to pay by cheque but give them plenty of time as it takes about a week and if you are over by a day you will be hammered for nearly twice the cost you borrowed in the first place!0 -
Creation thieving Finance are underhanded schemers. They prey on their customers and find any way they can to rip you off. I bought a bed from Dreams on a 10 month interest free BNPL. I made regular payments by cheque, each payment was recognised with a thank you for payment letter a couple of days after receipt of payment. That was until the final payment was made! Creation finance decided the payment was LATE and that Interest had been added £880 !!! Nearly as much as the bed.Funny how the last payment was supposedly LATE! Not going to give up tho I shall be taking steps to sort some kind of resolve.Beware of how you make final payments (recorded delivery should be used ) as this gives them the opportunity to STRIKE ! if you do'nt .0

ok well im going to post here as proof of events with creation on the off chance they try to stiff me for finance that i have cancelled in 12 months time.
I tried to order a dell gaming pc last week, took up the offer for 12 months no payments finance (as i would be paying it off in February with my redundancy money) and was re directed to creation site. No probs there..did the paperwork and E signed ready to pay for the pc, got the message " re directing back to dell do not hit back button or refresh as your order will be lost" not a problem didn't touch anything.. screen comes up "error" please try again..
25 mins later after trying to finalize the order and being re directed back to creation 10 times to "re start finance agreement" I gave up even though the credit had been approved. Phoned creation first thing next day, and told them i wanted to cancel the finance as the order did not go through.. I was told that it had gone through and that Dell would phone me that day to complete it... 6 hours later nothing..phoned dell.."no we dont have an order for you or record of your finance agreement or email...
Phoned creation back.. " it has gone through here is the confirmation code dell gave us. you should speak to dell again"... " phoned dell on the number creation gave me..."no sorry we dont recognise the code or have any order for your name or email"....
phoned back creation.." right Dell have no info on me or recognise the code you gave me, I want the agreement cancelled please" got the reply "ill have to speak to the manager 1 min please....5 mins later "ok thats sorted its cancelled" i asked if i would get the £49 set up fee back as the order was not completed "yes you will" end of conversation.
Fri get a call from Dell.." hi can we ask you what computer you wanted so we can start to build it"..."erm no as I have cancelled the finance and told your colleague I dont want to re do my order"..dell says " oh but your finance is active and we want to make you the pc".. Gah!!!
I have phoned creation today 07th Dec 2012 at 0900hrs as when checking there website and clicking on "your finance agreement" it brings up the agreement! and i have had no refund of £49.
The women on the phone has checked and told me " yes it has been cancelled it says on my system account dormant and a refund is on its way".
I have also sent creation an email(again) today asking for an email confirmation that this agreement has been cancelled...heres hoping. If in 12 months time i get any kind of payment request i will refer back to here along with copies of emails and telephone bills i am keeping.0 -

Creation Finance (or whatever they were called previously) financed a Land of Leather purchase I made back in 2004. . . with a PPI - that I did not know anything about at the time, but which four years later I need to make a claim against, but was unable as I had no way of contacting the finance company, (or indeed even knowing exactly who the finance company was!). I am still trying to get a satisfactory response from Creation Finance - after 4 years!
I would advise to stay well clear of this company!0 -
