Would only be thieving if the bunch was paid based on weight, if it was a fixed price for the bunch then you would have paid for the item consumed.

I would class it as thieving because they hadn't paid for it before eating. Also the banana skin was thrown behind something in the shop.I wouldn't call the banana police just banana man ha ha i.e security guard.

Pretty important point to miss in your original post! If anyone musculoskeletal problems they should of course seek medical advice, irrespective of the cause.

Not really when it's not important to go into detail especially when this post is about something else also I was in my early 20s so never thought to go to doctor also I wasn't the sort of person to go running to the doctor,Just because I slipped up.

    Hope she feels better.
Wish eviesmum would do the same, I'd love a £10 gift card, the chance to spend the day in bed and free washing up liquid recycled from her shoes.
I feel that you missed out on the jackpot as you made two mistakes.
    1. You caught her and 2. No A&E no medical report to assist a claim.

Do they? I slipped on something in Tesco once. Bruised my hip and my elbow. Got up, blushed and carried about my business. Did I miss a chance to cash in?
If you truely hurt yourself and it went in their accident book yes. They are then taking liability by logging the accident.

Rubbish. Just because they record something within their accident book (a legal / insurance requirement) doesn't mean that liability is accepted.

Many thanks to you all for your input.
A few weeks ago had a letter from Tesco Head Office Customer Services saying.
"We take all accidents seriously and that it is never nice to hear that someone has been injured in one of our stores"
"I sincerely hope that you have recovered from your injuries and that our staff handled the accident well"
    "Copy of accident report attached"
"Please let me take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding while we are dealing with this matter".
Last week (2 weeks after letter) I rang Dundee and asked if the file had now been closed, it appeared to have been.
I suggested that a box of chocolates or a bunch of flowers would have gone down well.
After "quietly chatting"( no aggression) to two members of staff, a voucher for £25 was promised.
This arrived in the post a couple of days ago..
    RESULT.

If I'd slipped on a child, I'd obviously have made sure it was OK before I carried on...

Oh that really made me lol. Thanks for that. After the $hitty day I had, I needed something to cheer me up
